Jeff Wilson Jr. heads to locker room Saturday

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Miami Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr. went to the locker room in the early stages of Saturday’s practice/scrimmage.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson has an injury history much like other members of the Miami backfield, though the extent/nature of this current injury is unclear. Rookie RB De’Von Achane did not play Saturday because of an injury as well. Wilson spent his first four full seasons in San Francisco and was traded in the middle of his fifth season to Miami. With the Dolphins, he ran for 468 yards and two touchdowns in eight games while averaging 5.1 yards per carry. The hope is that Wilson could be back soon, though his injury status should be monitored.

De’Von Achane day-to-day with undisclosed injury

According to Omar Kelly of FanNation All Dolphins, RB De’Von Achane is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. He was reportedly in street clothes during Saturday’s open practice and was walking gingerly, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Fantasy Impact

Achane was a third-round pick by Miami and is a favorite of fantasy football fans due to his scheme fit in Miami. His speed and acceleration seem like a perfect pairing for Mike McDaniel’s system, especially alongside other speedy RBs like Jeff Wilson Jr. and Raheem Mostert. It’s currently unclear the status or timeline of Achane’s injury. Kelly said that it isn’t believed to be serious but “he might be shelved for a minute.” Achane is going on average as the RB4 in dynasty rookie drafts and is an intriguing best ball pick due to his explosiveness with an average draft pick of RB41, the highest cost among his backfield mates.
