Quentin Johnston ‘inconsistent’ throughout training camp
Quentin Johnston has been “inconsistent” in his performance while struggling with drops throughout training camp.
Fantasy Impact
Johnston has potential to be a star WR in the NFL, but he will need to be more consistent to earn the trust of Justin Herbert. He is going to be battling for targets with three other high-volume target earners in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler. Johnston should be valued as a WR4 to start the season, but could see his role expand as the season progresses.

Baker Mayfield named Bucs starter
Baker Mayfield has been named the Bucs’ starting quarterback on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Baker impressed during his preseason debut against the Steelers, enough so that the Bucs held him out in their game against the Jets and let fellow QB Kyle Trask take the helm. Mayfield can still throw the deep ball, an area where Bucs’ top wide receiver Mike Evans excels. He’s a high-end QB3 with streaming potential on what profiles to be a struggling Bucs team.

Kenneth Gainwell ‘getting the steadiest work’ in camp
Kenneth Gainwell has been “getting the steadiest work” in training camp so far of the Eagles’ running backs. It looks like Philadelphia is headed towards a committee, with Gainwell leading the way.
Fantasy Impact
It’s not an ideal situation for Gainwell, being stuck in a three or four-way committee. Even so, being the “lead back” for the Eagles still has value and they trust him. He has RB3 potential, and at his current draft cost, he is a great value in fantasy drafts.

D’Andre Swift: Eagles leaning towards a committee approach
D’Andre Swift and the rest of the Eagles backfield appear to be headed toward a committee approach. Swift has been praised for his ability to “play any down” and will specialize as a pass catcher.
Fantasy Impact
The Athletic article mentions Swift’s teammate Kenneth Gainwell as the leader of the committee, with Swift as the likely No.2. Swift has the ability to turn any touch into a big play, and the Eagles recognize that ability. However, it doesn’t seem they are relying on him to carry a large workload given his injury history, so his upside is capped.
