Fantasy Football Tight Ends Streamers & Waiver Wire Targets (Week 11)

Fantasy Football Tight Ends Streamers & Waiver Wire Targets (Week 11)

The tight-end position matters greatly in fantasy football. They are not as flashy as their blazing-fast, route-running counterparts at wide receiver. They also do not get the same volume of touches as fantasy-relevant running backs. That can sometimes lead to them being overlooked or treated as an afterthought. Do not make that mistake.

The tight-end pool is the shallowest of them all in terms of fantasy. Finding production there on a weekly basis can be incredibly challenging, especially for those who did not invest in one of the top TE options during their drafts.

How might one find success at the position? Well, one way can be by carefully playing the waiver wire week-to-week. The goal of this weekly article is to help fantasy managers do just that by finding low-rostered (under 70%) TEs in the best situations for that particular week.

Tight End Waiver Wire Options for Week 11

Rostered Percentages based on Yahoo! Leagues as of the time of writing

Trey McBride (ARI) at Houston Texans: 59% Rostered

McBride should not be eligible for this article at this point. He officially moved into TE1 territory with his performance in Kyler Murray‘s long-awaited return to the Arizona Cardinals’ huddle. During this past Sunday’s comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons, McBride finished with eight catches for a new career-high 131 yards. Those totals bring his per-game averages over the last five weeks to 5.6 receptions and 67.8 yards.

The Texans have been susceptible to opposing TEs all season long after Houston allowed seven catches per game to the position and four total touchdowns. Three of those scores came over the past three weeks.

Logan Thomas (WAS) vs. New York Giants: 58% Rostered

Unlike the Texans, the Giants have done a decent job against tight ends this season. Still, this will be Thomas’ second matchup against the G-men this season. The first time around, he secured 4-of-6 targets for 51 yards. That effort began Thomas’ current streak of four consecutive games with at least four receptions. The veteran tight end showcased his upside with a nine-catch, 77-yard performance back in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears that included one of his three touchdowns on the season. Thomas is a worthwhile pickup with that recent production in mind.

Luke Musgrave (GB) vs. Los Angeles Chargers: 23% Rostered

Musgrave does not carry the same safe floor as Thomas. Instead, Musgrave features the type of big-play potential that’s difficult to find among tight ends. The rookie out of Oregon State has only come up with a combined five receptions on eight targets over the last two games, but he has averaged 23.0 yards on those receptions and scored his first career touchdown in Week 9. Musgrave beat the Steelers’ secondary for a pair of long catches this past Sunday: one for 28 yards and another for 36 yards.

Tyler Conklin (NYJ) at Buffalo Bills: 11% Rostered

Conklin often shows up in this weekly article, and his rapport with quarterback Zach Wilson is why. The connection between the two has been on full display over the past two weeks as Conklin brought down all 13 of his targets for 136 yards during that span. Yes, he has a tendency to disappear at times in the Jets’ lackluster passing game. But if you have to dig a little deeper into the waiver wire, Conklin is an option to strongly consider.
