Geno Smith: Veteran is the Seahawks QB ‘until he isn’t’ per John Schneider
Seahawks GM John Schneider said QB Geno Smith is the starter “until he’s not.”

It is a new coaching staff in Seattle under Mike Macdonald. Smith agreed to restructure his contract last week to open up some cap space for the Seahawks. It appears Smith will be the quarterback heading into the season for Seattle, but it is possible they draft someone in April to sit behind him.

Tee Higgins not expected to be moved on the franchise tag
Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin said the team doesn’t plan on trading Tee Higgins.

“Really simple. He’s a good player. We want to keep him. We have resources to do that,” Tobin said. He added that they’re a better team with Higgins. The Bengals will run it back with the trio of Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow.

Mike Evans reportedly working towards deal with the Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are reportedly actively working towards re-signing wide receiver Mike Evans.

Laine added that the Bucs are willing to do a deal even if it puts a strain on their finances to do so. “We’re going to do whatever we can to make sure that he’s a Buc,” general manager Jason Licht said. The Bucs are also working on bringing back Baker Mayfield as well.
