WR - FA
Week 17 Outlook
Expert NoteView More Notes
Very intelligent receiver. Allows the defender to believe they're tight in coverage with a rub down the field, but then utilize that as somewhat of a push-off to gain elite separation. Plays both in the slot and on the perimeter. Makes catches that are heavily contested, seems to have strong hands. He's not the insane route runner that Ridley/Jeudy were, but he's got short area smarts; can get separation on short notice. You'll see him separate by half of a yard just before the ball arrives, which isn't by accident. Uses his hands very subtly and very well. He has that No. 1 wide receiver swag about him. Makes things look a bit too easy at times. The game just comes easy to him. He needs to use his arms a bit more, sell his routes. He has real speed. Doesn't always show up, but when he turns on the jets, he's gone.

Ja’Marr Chase, top WR prospect, will opt out of college football in 2020
LSU star WR Ja’Marr Chase has decided to opt out of the 2020 college football season and will instead spend his time preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft.
In 2019, with Joe Burrow throwing him the football, Chase set the SEC record for receiving yards with 1,780 and touchdowns with 20 in a single season. He’ll be a sure-fire first-round draft pick in 2021.
