Fantasy Football Sleepers: Jayden Daniels, Will Levis, Caleb Williams

Waiting on the quarterback position is a known fantasy football strategy that can provide a lot of value if you get it right. Because you took the quarterback late, you used your other draft picks to get a valuable wide receiver, running back or tight end. On top of that production, you’re getting points from the quarterback position for a cheaper price.

Below, I want to look at all quarterbacks going at QB13 or later to determine who could finish in the top five. I’ll be using FantasyPros’ average draft position (ADP)Let’s dive in.

2024 FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT KIT

QB2s With Top-5 Potential

Jayden Daniels (QB – WAS) | ADP: QB13

Coming in right at QB13 is rookie Jayden Daniels. Coming out of LSU, Daniels rushed for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. He also passed for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns and four interceptions. While I don’t expect him to have those kinds of numbers his first season in the NFL, the rushing upside is real and could be the key to him reaching that QB5 marker.

Kliff Kingsbury is the new offensive coordinator with the Commanders. During his college coaching days, Kingsbury utilized more of a spread offense, but he reigned that in when he became head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Still, the Cardinals were an up-tempo team.

Here’s how the Cardinals ranked in plays per game from 2019 to 2022:

  • 2019: 62.5 plays (21st)
  • 2020: 67.7 (third)
  • 2021: 65.6 (eighth)
  • 2022: 67.3 (third)

Daniels will continue to run, has decent weapons headlined by Terry McLaurin and has an offensive coordinator that’ll give him multiple chances to make something happen.

Caleb Williams (QB – CHI) | ADP: QB15

Caleb Williams is one of the best quarterback prospects in a long time, and his offense is loaded with the likes of Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, D’Andre Swift, Cole Kmet, Gerald Everett and more. Williams has some rushing upside with 21 rushing touchdowns in two seasons at USC. He also had at least 97 carries in those seasons.

Expect Williams to throw the ball plenty, be the first Bears quarterback with over 4,000 yards in a season and do enough on the ground to help propel his fantasy finish beyond this ADP.

Will Levis (QB – TEN) | ADP: QB23

Will Levis’ ADP is just inside the QB2 range at QB23. I think he’s an excellent value.

He started his first game in Week 8 and he played through Week 15 before getting hurt. Over that span, he was QB16.

It wasn’t fantastic, but as a rookie, he showed he wasn’t afraid to throw the ball downfield, as 22.4% of his attempts were 20+ yards downfield.

Heading into 2024, he has a new No. 1 weapon in Calvin Ridley, who saw 24.2% of his targets sail 20+ yards downfield in 2023 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was incredibly successful on these passes, catching 40.6% of them for 388 yards and four touchdowns.

Levis also has a pass-catching back with Tony Pollard joining the team, the veteran DeAndre Hopkins and they also added Tyler Boyd.

Further, the Titans drafted a new tackle in JC Latham to protect his blindside.

In college, Levis showed some rushing ability, but we didn’t see much of it in 2022 nor with the Titans in 2023.

If Levis can run more while utilizing these new weapons by continuing to throw deep, he’s a big-time sleeper at the position.
