Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/5)
RJ Barrett (G/F – TOR): 19.5 points (alt line)
RJ Barrett is having a career year for the Toronto Raptors, averaging an elite 23.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. Yes, some of the numbers spike can be explained away by Immanuel Quickley missing most of the season and Scottie Barnes dealing with his own injury issues, but his consistency has been impressive nonetheless. RJ has scored 20 or more points in each of his last four games and in eight of his last 10. Bump the More on Barrett for Thursday night basketball.
Pick: More
Karl-Anthony Towns (F/C – NYK): 19.5 points (alt line)
KAT continues his excellent play for the New York Knicks, averaging 25.1 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. Towns has become a dominant big in the Eastern Conference and is well on his way to another all-star appearance. KAT has scored 20 or more points in 11 of his last 14 games and is in a strong position to do so again tonight against a Charlotte Hornets team allowing 20.29 points per game to the center position. Towns did miss the mark against the Hornets just three games ago but should be able to hit 20 with relative ease tonight, provided he remains aggressive. The probability is lower than usual, but the Towns alt line is still worth a shot. Tap the More on Towns for Thursday Night at Sleeper Picks.
Pick: More
Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles
Sabonis showed us he is human against the Houston Rockets, hauling in just seven boards despite a marquee matchup against Alperen Sengun. He has missed two games this season and has now failed to record a double double in two of his 20 games played. This means Sabonis is more than likely going to fall short of the NBA record 77 double doubles he posted last season. Despite what looks like it will be a small step back in hit percentage, this is still the highest probability play that Sleeper Picks offers on a regular basis. Domantas should get right back on track against the Memphis Grizzlies and their lack of plus rebounding bugs in their starting lineups. Memphis has surrendered 13.96 rebounds per game to the center position. Dap the More on Domantas for Thursday night’s action.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
