It’s 2025 time in the world of Fantasy Baseball Dynasty rankings. The transition from the end of the season gives us a good gauge on re-working our Dynasty values and ranks. That is exactly what we have here, as I present to you, my top 150 fantasy baseball dynasty ranks heading into spring training.
Now let’s cover a few important areas that will become questions. First off, these are designed around a standard 5×5 category-based league, not points or OBP. If you play in a two-catcher league, then catchers would rank higher. If you play in a save/holds league, closers would rank even lower. The most important thing is probably about the player pool. My ranks live in a three-year window world. Some will rank to just proximity, and some will rank thinking about an entire career, but I try to view my ranks through a three-year lens. That will sometimes put some older players not quite as low as others, but still generating real value for rookies that have superstar upside, but have no at-bats or minimal major league history.
The last important question I will pre-answer for you is roster construction. If you are checking this out and you are already in a dynasty, this can serve as a sense of player value to your current players, but if you are about to jump into a league, not all dynasty ranks, mine included, serve all purposes. There are many ways you can approach your team construction, but the three main tenets of dynasty rosters are win-now, balance, and play for the future. Those are pretty straightforward, but these ranks serve as an overarching value chart. I suppose they may serve the “balanced” roster most. So, if you decide to be a win-now team, maybe the first 50-100 players can serve your construction, but you would want to start to pivot to a more re-draft-based rank instead of an overall dynasty if you want to dominate in year one. On the other end, maybe you say you will only have 25-year-old players and below and stack up young guys. You likely aren’t competing right away, and thus after around 50-75, you may want to pivot more into a prospect-based list. If you have a team of prospects. drafting Jacob DeGrom may not be the best choice for that squad. Just keep this in mind when looking over these, or any dynasty rank.
