Derek Carr ‘probably will be’ the Saints’ QB1 in 2025
Given QB Derek Carr‘s contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that the veteran “probably will be the [New Orleans Saints’] QB1 entering 2025” as moving on from him would only free up a couple million dollars.
Fantasy Impact
While the Saints desperately need to make changes to be cap-compliant for the 2025 season, Carr is likely the least of the team’s worries. There will need to be shavings made all across the roster, and to some degree, the 2025 season might have to be a throwaway for New Orleans to become cap-healthy in the future. It remains to be seen if the Saints will keep Carr, but it would not provide much benefit to move on from the veteran QB who was relatively good when healthy in 2024. If they do, it could be Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener under center in 2025.

Jordan Addison files continuance of DUI case, hearing set
Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison filed for continuance of his DUI case, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for March 12, according to Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune.
Fantasy Impact
Addison’s case stems from a July 2024 incident where he was charged with DUI. There were some questions about whether Addison would face a suspension to open the 2024 season, but nothing came with the case still going through the legal process. It remains to be seen if Addison will face one in 2025, though it likely will not be decided until the legal proceedings are done given the league’s propensity to wait.

Saints hire Kellen Moore as next HC

Moore had been considered the favorite for the job for the past several weeks. He fills the last remaining head coaching vacancy. Moore has been an offensive coordinator since 2019 for the Cowboys, Chargers and Eagles.
