Tuesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Kevin Durant, Jaren Jackson Jr., LaMelo Ball (2/25)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/25)

Kevin Durant (F – PHX): 19.5 points (alt line)

KD remains in Phoenix, at least for the rest of this season, and continues to play at a high level despite the organizational dysfunction. Durant is averaging 26.9 points per game and has scored 20 or more points in 30 of his last 31 full games. The multiplier decrease for this alt line is far superior to lower probability options on the board and deserves serious consideration. Dap the More on KD for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Jaren Jackson Jr. (F/C – MEM): 14.5 points (alt line)

JJJ has been a key piece behind the Memphis Grizzlies’ success this season and has continually flashed his upside as a scorer, highlighted by 23.2 points per game in November and 24.3 points per game in January. JJJ will take on a Phoenix team that Jackson has dropped 38 and 17 points on in his two meetings against them this season. JJJ has scored 15 or more points in 22 of his last 23 games overall. Jab the More on JJJ for Tuesday night basketball.

Pick: More

LaMelo Ball (G – CHA): 19.5 points (alt line)

LaMelo has been up and down lately, once again showing off the trademark inefficiency that makes one of the most exciting players in basketball an afterthought for the all-star game. LaMelo comes into this one averaging 26.3 points per game but has scored fewer than 15 points in two of his last three games and in four of his last six. LaMelo has been struggling with injury issues as well, and it’s likely that his relative inactivity before the break had a correlative effect on the youngest Ball not making the all-star team. LaMelo gets the team that famously passed on him in favor of James Wiseman tonight, so if healthy, there’s a strong chance that we see a scoring explosion. Stick with the 19.5 alt line, as LaMelo has done little to inspire trust in the fact that he can score 25 or more while he is mired in a slump and playing for a Hornets team already coasting for Cooper. Light up the More on the LaMelo alt line.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
