Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Waiver Wire Targets (2025)

It sure has been a long offseason, but fantasy baseball is finally back. Now that the season is underway, you may have been reminded of a weekly headache – trying to find good pitchers.

I aim to solve this headache during the upcoming season by finding the best pitchers, every week, who are on most waiver wires. I will be using the FantasyPros streaming pitchers tool to find league roster percentage information.

Without further delay, below are my picks for pitchers to stream during Week 3, from Monday 4/7 to Sunday 4/13.

Starting Pitchers to Stream: Week 3

Shane Baz (SP – TB) | 32.2% Rostered | LAA

Pick up Shane Baz. Now. I’m not even talking about the pitcher as a streaming option. I believe the starter could have a 2025 campaign that solidifies him as a star. His season debut was against the Pirates. He struck out ten in six scoreless innings, allowing seven hits. His fastball touched 100 MPH.

Baz has struggled with health throughout his career, likely a result of his pitch speed. However, the nearly 26-year-old is healthy now and has momentum on his side. I absolutely love Baz against the Angels.

Dustin May (SP – LAD) | 21.9% Rostered | @WSH

Yes, this is the guy who missed last season. And most of the season before that. And most of the previous season. And so on. The upside of streaming a pitcher is that you do not need to worry about long-term injury risk because you will probably only have him for a week.

If Dustin May does well against the Nationals, though, I would consider hanging on to him. The 27-year-old has a career 3.02 ERA and 1.042 WHIP. He has been nothing short of elite in limited samples. He immediately returned to form in his season debut against the Braves, striking out six across five shutout innings, allowing only one hit and three walks. Although the control is a little concerning, May is worth starting against the Nationals. He also lines up to possibly start against the Cubs later in the week.

Erick Fedde (SP – STL) | 17.0% Rostered | @PIT

While I am confident the first few pitchers on this list will be viable all season long, this is not the case for Erick Fedde. Is that a big deal? Not really. This is a streaming article, after all.

Erick Fedde dominated the first half of 2024 after returning from a stint in Korea. He emerged as an unexpected star, throwing 121.2 innings to a 3.11 ERA between March and July. He struggled for a few weeks after being traded from the White Sox to the Cardinals, but he picked things up and finished the season with a 3.30 ERA and 7.8 K/9 across 177.1 innings pitched.

The veteran is good for ratios, but he has limited long-term fantasy upside due to his insignificant strikeout rate. His downside was highlighted by his most recent start against the Red Sox, allowing six runs across three innings with just one strikeout. Despite this, I feel good about Fedde this week against the Pirates as he looks to return to his solid six-inning debut, where he held the Twins to one run.

Tylor Megill (SP – NYM) | 6.8% Rostered | TOR

Tylor Megill is a good stream to consider in deep leagues where better options exist. Megill should do well against the Blue Jays, but it seems like a safer bet for the pitchers already mentioned on this list to have better starts this week.

Megill should be a suitable option on a limited waiver wire. He has been a constant slightly below-average pitcher through his career, but he is coming off a five-inning start where he struck out six Astros and held them to one run. The Astros of this year do not appear to be the Astros of old, but Megill had a nice stat line nonetheless.

The Blue Jays are having a hot start to their season, but I feel confident Megill will do what he does best – have a decent start bolstered by strikeouts.
