The NHL regular season concludes tonight, and I’m looking to close out the year with a winning DFS lineup. Below you can find the nine-man roster I’m deploying in the DFS realm this evening. This lineup is playable in DraftKings’ classic $50,000 salary format, but I’ve also listed each player’s price at FanDuel’s $55,000 salary equivalent.

Thursday’s NHL DFS Picks & Advice
The lineup below is based on DraftKings, but FanDuel prices are also listed.
I have several Blue Jackets players in my lineup tonight, starting with top-line centerman Sean Monahan. Monahan’s more than a point-per-game guy this season, tallying 56 points (19 goals, 37 assists) across 53 games. He’s also averaging a solid 2.4 shots on goal per game (SOG/G).
The Jackets take on an Islanders team conceding 3.86 goals per game over their last 10 outings (27th).
Dylan Strome’s career-year churns ahead, and he’s coming off a hat-trick performance last time out against the Islanders. He now has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) across his last nine games, so I’ll gladly lock him in at a sub-$6,000 price tag.
The Capitals take on a Penguins team that has been a joke defensively this year, ranking 30th in GAA (3.26) and 27th in SV% (.885). Pittsburgh has committed the sixth-most own-zone turnovers (590) in 2024-25, so look for this high-powered Washington offense to take advantage.
The highest betting total in the NHL tonight comes in this Flyers vs. Sabres game, sitting at 6.5 (Over: +100, Under: -120). Like the oddsmakers, I think we’ll see plenty of scoring in this game. I’m going to back the emerging Tyson Foerster, who has eight goals and an assist in his last eight contests.
Foerster is averaging 2.5 SOG/G during the nine-game sample size. Buffalo’s goaltending has been horrendous this season, ranking 31st in SV% (.880). They’re 0-3-1 in their last four games, allowing 4.25 goals per game during the stretch.
My second Blue Jackets skater is Dmitri Voronkov (22 goals, 24 assists), who’s slotting in on the third line alongside Cole Sillinger and Mathieu Olivier.
The Russian-born winger has been productive down the stretch, scoring three points (two goals, one assist) in his last five games. I like him to contribute offensively tonight against this slumping Isles squad.
The other Capitals skater I have rostered is Connor McMichael, who’s been excellent this season with 56 points (25 goals, 31 assists) in 81 games. He’s averaging 2.2 SOG/G this campaign.
McMichael hasn’t been too dominant over the last couple of weeks, but he does have two assists and 13 shots in his last six outings. At this price, I think it’s worth a flier to back someone from this dangerous Connor McMichael–Pierre-Luc Dubois–Tom Wilson line.

Both of my defensemen will compete in the Flyers vs. Sabres game tonight. First, I’m splurging on Rasmus Dahlin (17 goals, 51 assists), who has 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in his last 13 games.
Dahlin draws a matchup against a Philadelphia defense ranked dead last in SV% (.873) and 29th in GAA (3.22). Over the last 10 games, they’re 28th in both SV% (.860) and GAA (4.05). I like Dahlin’s chances to get in on the scoring tonight.
Philadelphia’s Nick Seeler hasn’t put up tremendous offensive numbers this season, as he has only 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) in 76 games. However, 20% of those points (four assists) have come in the last three games.
Additionally, Seeler has the third-most blocked shots (198) in the NHL, giving him ways to rack up fantasy points on both ends of the ice. There should be a ton of scoring in this game. I like for Seeler to make DFS contributions both offensively and defensively.
I’m going the extreme value route in net tonight. I’m locking in Calgary’s Dustin Wolf, who’s 3-0-0 in his last three games with a .911 SV% (82/90). The Flames take on a Los Angeles side that’s nearly unbeatable at home (31-5-4 at home).
However, this game is completely meaningless for the Kings, and I think there’s a good chance they just put it on cruise control to avoid injuries as they gear up for the playoffs. There’s a high ceiling with this wager on Wolf, who’s currently 29-16-8 (11th-most wins) with a 2.64 GAA (16th) and a .910 SV% (10th). I’ll take a flier on him tonight.
One of the main reasons I have so many Blue Jackets players in my lineup tonight is because they’ll take on the Islanders’ 31st-ranked penalty kill, which sits at just 72.22%. Kent Johnson has racked up 15 power-play points (four goals, 11 assists) this season, and he’s third on the team in overall scoring with 57 points (24 goals, 33 assists) in 67 games.
Columbus should close out the season with a big-time offensive performance against this underwhelming Islanders team.
