Just a few days remain in the NHL regular season. We have several high-leverage games on the schedule down the stretch. I’m heading the DFS route to get some skin in the game tonight.
Below you can find the nine-man DFS lineup that I’m riding with. This roster is playable in DraftKings’ classic $50,000 salary format, but I’ve also listed each player’s price at FanDuel’s $55,000 salary equivalent.

Tuesday’s NHL DFS Picks & Advice
The lineup below is based on DraftKings, but FanDuel prices are also listed.
Marco Rossi (24 goals, 36 assists) has been pushed down to the third-line center role with the return of Joel Eriksson Ek. However, I still like him in this spot against the Ducks tonight, as Anaheim is 29th in the NHL in penalty-killing (73.55%) this season.
Rossi occupies a spot on Minnesota’s five-forward first-line power-play group. He also has five points (two goals, three assists) and is averaging two shots on goal per game (SOG/G) across his last six games.
There should be no shortage of goals in tonight’s Blue Jackets vs. Flyers contest in Philadelphia. Both of these teams are ranked in the top five in goals per game over the last 10 games, while ranking 20th or lower in GAA over the same 10-game sample size.
Noah Cates (16 goals, 20 assists) has been finding his groove recently, scoring four points (one goal, three assists) in his last three games. At this price, I’ll lock him in for the second center position.
Toronto’s Matthew Knies (29 goals, 26 assists) hasn’t scored in either of his last two games, but he does have six points (four goals, two assists) over his last six games. The top-line winger stays busy, and he’s always a threat to score since he plays with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
The Leafs can lock up the Atlantic Division tonight, and they’ll try to do so against a Sabres squad ranked 28th in GAA (3.19), 31st in SV% (.880) and 25th on the penalty kill (76.37%).
Coming back to that Jackets-Flyers game, I’ll also lock in Kent Johnson at a pretty reasonable price of $4,900. The winger has amassed 56 points (23 goals, 33 assists) in just 66 games this season, and he’s averaging a modest 1.8 SOG/G this season.
Johnson will look to score on a Flyers team ranked dead last in SV% (.872) this season, while ranking 28th in GAA (4.05) over the last 10 games.
I’m going to make a value play on the Islanders’ Simon Holmstrom tonight. The second-line winger has seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last 10 games, which is the third-most on New York’s roster.
Holmstrom draws a matchup against a Capitals side that’s been in shambles defensively, ranking 31st in GAA (4.45) over the last 10 games. Let’s ride Holmstrom’s hot hand tonight.

The Blue Jackets are still alive in the playoff hunt, and I expect Zach Werenski (22 goals, 56 assists) to contribute in this do-or-die game against the Flyers tonight. Werenski has put up a big-time season from the blue line, as only Cale Makar‘s 92 points are better than his 78 points among defenseman.
Werenski leads Columbus in scoring and shots on goal (SOG) with 290 across 79 games. It’s worth splurging on him in this spot.
I think we’re getting a pretty decent deal on Colton Parayko tonight, who’s set to play in just his second game since returning from a knee injury. He scored a goal in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken in his return.
Parayko is also 11th in blocked shots per game (2.3) among qualified players, giving him ways to collect fantasy points on both ends of the ice.
Any time I can roster a goalie of Andrei Vasilevskiy’s caliber at a sub-$8,000 price tag, I’m going to jump on it. He has quietly turned in a monster season, going 37-20-5 (second-most wins) with a 2.20 GAA (third) and a .921 SV% (fourth). His six shutouts are the second-most in the NHL.
The Bolts host a Panthers side that has been struggling offensively down the stretch. Over the last 10 games, they’re dead last in both goals per 60 minutes (2.07) and shooting percentage (6.56%). Give me Vasilevskiy in front of his home crowd.
I’ll round things out with Mats Zuccarello, who just scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Canucks last time out. He now has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last six games, while averaging 2.3 SOG/G during the stretch.
With Zuccarello slotting in alongside the crafty Kirill Kaprizov, he’s a constant threat to score. I like him to do some damage in this meaningful game against a Ducks side ranked 25th in GAA (3.05).
