Finding good streaming pitchers can be a weekly struggle. I aim to solve this headache during this season by finding the best pitchers, every week, who are on the waiver wire in most leagues. I will use the FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers tool to find league roster percentage information.

First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:
- Michael Lorenzen (vs. CIN): 5.0 Innings, 2 Strikeouts, 6 Earned Runs, 11 Hits, 3 Walks (Loss)
- Tomoyuki Sugano (vs. STL): 5.1 Innings, 3 Strikeouts, 3 Earned Runs, 8 Hits, 0 Walks (No Decision)
- Clarke Schmidt (@LAA): 6.0 Innings, 4 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 4 Hits, 1 Walk (Win)
- Jeffrey Springs (@TOR): 2.0 Innings, 2 Strikeouts, 6 Earned Runs, 6 Hits, 6 Walks (Loss)
- David Peterson (vs. COL): 5.2 Innings, 5 Strikeouts, 1 Earned Run, 5 Hits, 1 Walk (Win)
Total: 24.0 Innings, 16 Strikeouts, 16 Earned Runs, 34 Hits, 11 Walks (2-2)
Clarke Schmidt had a nice start, but every starter besides him had blemishes or worse. Tomoyuki Sugano and David Peterson pitched decently, yet did not have the distance to record quality starts. Needless to say, Michael Lorenzen and Jeffrey Springs had extremely rough performances. I aim for a return to form with this week’s streamers.
Without further delay, below are my picks for pitchers to stream from Monday, June 2nd to Sunday, June 8th.
Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers
Monday, June 2nd
Richard Fitts (SP – BOS) vs. LAA | 1% Rostered
On May 27th, Richard Fitts shut down the Brewers for three innings with 44 pitches in his return from a pectoral injury that had him sidelined since April 12th.
Monday has a weak selection of streamers, and Fitts seems to be the best pitcher available who can preserve ratios and get a few strikeouts. He has a 2.21 ERA and 1.18 WHIP across 40.2 major league innings.
Fitts is perhaps the least enticing option on this list because of his pitch count restrictions. If you decide to stream Fitts, he should do well against the Angels, but do not expect him to be stretched out enough to earn a quality start.
Alternative: Stephen Kolek (SP – SD) @SF | 9% Rostered
Tuesday, June 3rd
Lance McCullers (SP – HOU) @PIT | 4% Rostered
Lance McCullers is the riskiest streamer on this list. He has been met with ups and downs since pitching for the first time after being hurt in the 2022 World Series. His first two starts were bad, but rust has been shaking off in McCullers’ three most recent outings.
The Astros pitcher has a shocking 20 strikeouts across his last 10.1 innings in starts against the Mariners and Athletics. Although he may still give up an unhealthy amount of runs, McCullers is a wonderful strikeout option against the Pirates, who rank in the bottom five of several MLB team-hitting stats.
Alternative: Tomoyuki Sugano (SP – BAL) @SEA | 19% Rostered
Wednesday, June 4th
Zebby Matthews (SP – MIN) @ATH | 7% Rostered
Zebby Matthews is another strikeout option. The 25-year-old has tossed 14 innings so far this season, and he already has 21 strikeouts. This ridiculous strikeout rate has caused Matthews to have value in some fantasy leagues despite his 6.43 ERA and 1.60 WHIP.
The Twins starter flashed promising efficiency against the Mariners on May 30th, where he allowed four runs across seven innings, striking out seven batters. Matthews is getting better in the Majors, and he is an intriguing stream against the 23-35 Athletics.
Alternative: Quinn Priester SP – MIL) @CIN | 1% Rostered
Thursday, June 5th
Jack Leiter (SP – TEX) @TB | 16% Rostered
Jack Leiter is on a hot streak. His talent has flashed in his last four starts, where he has allowed just six runs over 23.2 innings. He also struck out 18 batters.
The righty faces the Rays, who are a solid opponent. Their .689 team OPS is slightly below the MLB average this season. Trust the youngster to use his momentum to put together a nice start in Tampa Bay.
Alternative: Taijuan Walker (SP – PHI) @TOR | 4% Rostered
Friday, June 6th
Zack Littell (SP – TB0 vs. MIA | 13% Rostered
Zack Littell is quietly putting together a good season. He has a 3.97 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 65.2 innings this year. He displayed dominance in his most recent start against the Twins, earning the win after 6.1 innings of one-run and three-hit ball.
Is Littell an ace? No way. But should he succeed against the Marlins, who are a below-average hitting team? Logic says so.
Alternative: Chad Patrick (SP – MIL) vs. SD | 4% Rostered
Saturday, June 7th
Ryan Weathers (SP – MIA) @TB | 16% Rostered
Ryan Weathers should be picked up and held, not streamed. The 25-year-old touches 99 miles per hour (MPH) on his fastball and has finally figured out how to control his pitches. After having some difficulties with walking batters in early seasons, Weathers has improved to a 2.5 BB/9 in 2024 and a 2.3 BB/9 so far in 2025.
Being able to control dangerous pitches has allowed Weathers to make his season debut by playing the Cubs twice in a row, then the Padres, while only allowing two runs in the process. It should be exciting to see how Weathers fares against the Rays, a less formidable team than the Cubs or Padres.
Alternative: Ryan Yarbrough (SP – NYY) vs. BOS | 4% Rostered
Sunday, June 8th
Cade Horton (SP – CHC) @DET | 8% Rostered
Cade Horton is yet another starter who appears to be pulling things together. The rookie is coming off his best start of the season, where he earned a quality start against the Rockies, striking out six and allowing only two runs off four hits and a walk.
However, it is important to note that Horton found success against the worst team in baseball. It is a good idea to watch how Horton fares against the Nationals earlier in the week before streaming him in Detroit.
Alternative: Lance McCullers (SP – HOU) @CLE | 4% Rostered
