Star Wars Fantasy Football Team Names (2025)

May the Fourth be with you.

Star Wars and fantasy football have a lot in common – both have incredibly passionate fan bases who love to engage with their respective universes. As it turns out, many fans of the Star Wars franchise are also avid fantasy football managers.

With this in mind, every year I set out to create a comprehensive list of the best Star Wars-themed team names that would bring some intergalactic fun to the fantasy football world.

Drawing inspiration from all corners of the Star Wars universe, these team names cleverly incorporate Star Wars terminology, player names (including rookies) and NFL teams. From the Seattle Ewoks to the Baltimore Reyvans and the Las Vegas Vaders, these team names are sure to generate a few chuckles among fans. Even individual player names like This Is The Zay (Flowers) and Dart Vader get a nod in this epic mashup of two beloved pop culture phenomena.

Star Wars Fantasy Football Team Names

There are plenty of other veterans who can be thrown into the mix. When you have a player like Saquon Barkley, how can you not just call him Sa-Quon Ginn? The name rolls off the tongue and has a nickname based on a Jedi knight primed for a comeback season with the Force strong in him.

Then there’s the Wookie of the Year award. Three years ago, we had Kenneth SkyWalker, Jedi Skyy Moore and Rachaad White Saber. In 2023, Bijan Fett and The Bijan Falcon Offense were the betting favorites, but C.J. Cloud City and the Stroud Troopers took home the gold. He won in a landslide over other popular candidates such as Jaxon Smith-Lord, The Rushing Is Strong in Anthony Richardson, Bryce Youngling, Tucker Spacecraft and The Quentin Syndicate.

In 2024, the heavy favorites was Maye the Drake Be With You, This Is Maye (Drake edition), Marvin I Am Your Father (Marvin Sr.), Darth Nabers and Xavier Wookie.

For this year, the field is wide open.

DBro is emptying the clip for Dart Vader. But the Ward of the Empire will have something to say. And who knows, perhaps we have a dark horse on the Cleveland Browns with Shedeur Sithders.

But QB names aside, this strong rookie RB class is bound to make a statement.

Return of the Jeanty is the headliner, but Ollie-Wan Kenobi is a serious sleeper.

Rookie tight ends don’t always fire. But this name does. The Fannin Menace. I rest my case.

On defense, we had friendly fire from 2023 draft picks Keion White Saber, The Jack Campbell Alliance and Nolan Smith Lord. But ultimately, The Pass Rushing Is Strong With Will Anderson took home the award. The Eagles look like favorites to boast the best defenders from this 2024’s class with picks such as Quinyon-Ginn Mitchell and Storm Cooper DeJean.

But Patriots offensive lineman, Will Campbell, will do whatever it takes to protect his QB, including death. Will the Force Be With Campbell?

But the Eagles might end up having the last laugh with the execution of Jihaad Order 66.

My personal preferences are still the Star Wars team names that contain a play on words.

Jedi Mind Pick-Six and Let the FAAB Be With You are all great, in my opinion. But the real question is not whether these names are significant or not; what is worse? Attack of the Clones or Attack of the Daniel Jones when you see him in your opponent’s lineup.

Not to worry, though. If your league has not Let the FAAB Through Your Veins, then a simple Jedi Pick-Six should fool your opponent into thinking the Millennium Falcons have a bye this week. They barely show up anyway. And when they do, they will likely fork over a 1st-round pick in the process.

Sure, it would seem like a rebel move on your part, but remember, it’s Star Wars. When you find out your opponent is about as smart as the Millennium Falcons, you take advantage.

When somebody offers you garbage trades for WR this is the Zay (Flowers) you say you want at least four Wookie Draft Picks, The Ashes of Uncle Ben and Master Linebacker Jalon Skywalker, or it’s no deal. If they are not willing to Pay Up the Parsec, you merely reply, “Brees Aren’t The Cowboys You’re Looking For!”

You instead happily take a guard 12th overall and move on to the next planet.

Without further ado, here is your complete list!

What Is Fantasy Football?

Fantasy football is a game that allows you to act as a virtual general manager for a football team. In fantasy football, you select and manage a team of real NFL players. The players on your team earn points for your team based on their real-life performance in games each week. These points are then totaled and compared to your opponent’s team each week to determine the winner.

At the beginning of the season, you participate in a draft with other fantasy football players. During the draft, you take turns selecting players from the NFL to add to your team. The goal is to build the best team possible with the players you select.

During the season, you can make trades with other players, pick up new players from the free agent pool and even drop players from your team who aren’t performing well. You can also make strategic decisions each week about which players to start in your lineup.

Overall, fantasy football is a fun and exciting way to get more involved in the NFL season. It allows you to put your knowledge of the game to the test and compete with others to see who can build the best team. And with the right strategy and a bit of luck, you could be the one taking home the championship trophy at the end of the season!
