Daniel Jones struggles in Week 3 loss to 49ersDaniel Jones had a rough outing in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers, managing only 137 passing yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He completed 22 of his 32 attempts and added five yards on the ground on two attempts.
Fantasy Impact
The Giants' 30-12 loss can't solely be pinned on Jones, but he certainly didn't do much to tilt the scales in New York's favor. Looking at the season so far, Jones has accumulated 562 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions while adding 107 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Through three games, it's hard to get an accurate read on Jones -- he has faced two of the league's best defenses in the Cowboys (Week 1) and the 49ers (Week 3) and struggled along with the rest of the New York offense in those matchups, managing just a combined 10 fantasy points in many formats. In Week 2, he started slowly against the Cardinals but rebounded in the second half to put up approximately 34 fantasy points in many formats. Things should get easier for Jones and the Giants' offense over the next few weeks (Seahawks, Dolphins, Bills), and he could be an intriguing buy-low candidate for fantasy managers who could use some help at the QB position.
