Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Thursday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Hunter Brown (HOU) vs. PHI
Hunter Brown is on fire. According to FanGraphs, Houston’s ace has had the following stats in his previous five starts spanning 29.1 innings.
- 1.53 ERA
- 2.88 xFIP
- 3.04 SIERA
- 0.95 WHIP
- Two wins
- Three quality starts
- 10.6 BB%
- 33.6 K%
- 51.7 GB%
- 12.2 SwStr%
- 28.8 CSW%
- 110 stuff+
- 88 location+
- 99 pitching+
Brown has an unimposing matchup and tasty betting info today. The Phillies are 12th in wRC+ (105) with a 19.8 K% versus righties and tied for 18th in wRC+ (93) with a 21.2 K% on the road in 2025. Philadelphia was also tied for 17th in wRC+ (98) with a 20.5 K% in the previous 30 days. Thus, the Astros are -140, and the game’s total is 7.0 runs.
Tanner Bibee (CLE) vs. TOR
Tanner Bibee is rock-solid at home. In 125 innings at home since last year, Bibee has had a 3.67 ERA, 3.67 xFIP, 6.2 BB% and 25.1 K%. Cleveland’s righty is also a handful for right-handed batters, holding them to a .271 wOBA since last season, notable against Toronto’s righty-heavy top of the order. Addison Barger is Toronto’s best left-handed batter, and Nathan Lukes and Alan Roden don’t inflict fear in opposing pitchers.
The Blue Jays are also only tied for 15th in wRC+ (103) with a 17.7 K% versus righties and tied for 25th in wRC+ (87) with a 21.8 K% on the road this season. The Guardians are -115 favorites, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs. Bibee’s betting info isn’t too shabby.
Dietrich Enns (DET) vs. ATH
Dietrich Enns spent the previous three years pitching abroad, spending two years (2022-2023) in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and one in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) in 2024. He’s spent this entire year starting in Triple-A in Detroit’s organization, and pitching well at that.
In 14 starts spanning 62.1 innings in Triple-A this year, Enns has spun a 2.89 ERA, 3.69 xFIP, 1.22 WHIP, 5.6 BB%, 26.7 K% and 29.5 CSW%. The lefty will face a potent offense this afternoon. The Athletics are 10th in wRC+ (102) versus lefties and tied for ninth in wRC+ (100) on the road this year. They were also tied for 12th in wRC+ (102) in the previous 30 days. However, the Athletics are strikeout-prone, with a 24.3 K% versus lefties, 22.5 K% on the road and 25.5 K% in the previous 30 days. Enns doesn’t need to be flawless to provide DFS lineups with value as an SP2 at DraftKings via strikeouts alone. Finally, Enns’ betting info is decent, with the Tigers listed as -158 favorites and the game’s total sitting at 8.5 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Austin Gomber has an 8.38 ERA, 7.81 xERA, 6.22 xFIP, 6.23 SIERA and 1.66 WHIP in two starts this year. He’s also yielded three homers in only 9.2 innings this year. Since last season, Gomber has coughed up a .360 wOBA to 569 right-handed batters. LA’s righties are the most appealing stacking options against Gomber, but two of their stud lefties have enjoyed success against Gomber.
- Home (Target Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 9.0 Runs/MIN -120
Emerson Hancock has coughed up a 5.43 ERA, 5.13 xERA, 4.37 xFIP and 4.57 SIERA in 13 starts this season. Moreover, Hanock is an excellent matchup for lefties and righties. He’s allowed a .347 wOBA to 286 lefties and a .353 wOBA to 263 righties since last season.
Core Studs
- Teoscar Hernandez has launched 23 longballs with a .343 OBP, .275 ISO and 152 wRC+ in 373 plate appearances against lefties since 2023.
- Will Smith has hit 17 homers with a .381 OBP, .243 ISO and 143 wRC+ in 360 plate appearances against lefties since 2023.

- In 109 plate appearances from May 23 through June 24, Carlos Correa hit four homers with 16 runs, 11 RBIs, a .349 OBP, .178 ISO and 133 wRC+. He also recorded a hit in three plate appearances last night.

Thursday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Check out our best picks on the MLB Underdog Cheat Sheet
Matt Wallner: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher
Wallner’s thunderous bat should benefit from facing a pitcher who struggles to strike out batters. Hancock has struck out only 16.4% of the 286 left-handed batters he’s faced since last year. Wallner should also have ample run-production opportunities today.
Will Smith: 9.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Smith has launched nine bombs with 39 runs, 42 RBIs, two stolen bases, a .425 OBP, .211 ISO and 170 wRC+ in 252 plate appearances this season. He’s nestled in the heart of LA’s lineup and gets a park factor lift from Coors Field today.
Teoscar Hernandez: 9.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Smith’s over for Underdog fantasy points positively correlates with Hernandez’s over. In addition to his dominance against lefties, Hernandez is having a stellar season at the dish.
