The best players in the world play fantasy baseball on NFBC. The most popular high-stakes contest is the NFBC Main Event, which has a $1,750 buy-in with a $7,000 league prize and a $200,000 overall prize. Thankfully, for everyone, NFBC allows us to see what each team is doing with their FAAB pickups on Sunday night.
Each week, I look at the most popular fantasy baseball waiver wire and FAAB pickups in the NFBC Main Event to see who the best players in the world are picking up and whether we should add them.

Fantasy Baseball FAAB Waiver Wire Pickups
Jacob Misiorowski was picked up in all 57 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $321 and a minimum bid of $84. He is a top pitching prospect who made his debut last week and looked every bit as advertised.
Misiorowski has one of the best fastballs in baseball, a good cutter and a great curve. He does struggle with control, so he will need to curb the walks, but there is a ton of upside in his arm.
Eury Perez was picked up in 55 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $239 and a minimum bid of $49. Perez is returning from Tommy John surgery, and while he looked great during moments of his return, he struggled with control, which is typical of pitchers coming off Tommy John surgery.
There is some risk here if the control takes a while to come back, and there isn’t a lot of win upside either in Miami, but there is a ton of upside if Perez can be his pre-surgery self.
Not to be confused with the Dodgers version, the Athletics’ Max Muncy was picked up in 42 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $158 and a minimum bid of $2. He has been having a power surge of late with four home runs and a stolen base since June 5th.
However, Muncy is still an impatient hitter who strikes out too much. He does play in a nice park for power and has multi-positional eligibility (2B, SS, 3B), but he is not much more than someone who provides flexibility in deeper formats.

Nolan Gorman was picked up in 41 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $31 and a minimum bid of $2. Gorman has been hot in June, hitting .344/.432/.688 with three home runs.
More importantly, Gorman is playing regularly again. He still struggles with consistent contact, so this hot streak won’t last, but he has a lot of power. When he is hot, he can provide some cheap homers.
Christian Moore is one of the Angels’ top prospects and made his debut last week. He was picked up in 39 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $111 and a minimum bid of $1.
Moore has power and speed, but he struggles with in-zone contact. He was great in AAA, but he won’t be in the Majors long if he strikes out too much.
Dylan Lee was picked up in 39 Main Event with a max bid of $77 and a minimum bid of $2. With Raisel Iglesias struggling, Lee appears to be stepping into the closer role in Atlanta.
The only problem is that it is just a guess since the Braves haven’t registered a save in the last week. Lee has been great this season and is one of two pitchers, other than Iglesias, on the Braves to get a save, so he is a good spec add right now.
Ryan Pressley was picked up in 34 Main Event leagues with a max bid of $81 and a minimum bid of $1. Pressly has been better of late and registered a save last week, but Daniel Palencia recorded two saves since, so it seems unlikely Pressly will get the job back unless something happens to Palencia.
