6 Dynasty Stashes to Add Now: Week 3 (2025 Fantasy Football)

Another week means more injuries and more breakouts, both of which change the value of players in dynasty fantasy football. This week, we look at some shallower options as well as some players I think have a good outlook down the stretch.

Whatever kind of league you’re in, hopefully, you can find some inspiration here to make some trades to help your team improve for Week 3. Let’s get into it.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Stashes to Add: Week 3

Daniel Jones (QB – IND)

I listed a very deep quarterback last week for Superflex leagues, but this week I’m going with Daniel Jones for 1-QB leagues. Odds are he’s rostered by a team with three or four quarterbacks, likely one or two of which are ranked higher than Jones. However, Jones is the fantasy QB2 on the season, finishing as the QB3 in Week 1 and the QB5 in Week 2. He should be starting on most fantasy teams, especially with all of the injuries we’re seeing at the position.

Jones is QB29 in the dynasty expert consensus rankings (ECR) right now, but I think he will be moving up very soon. Heading into the season, fantasy managers were wondering if he would get to start over incumbent Anthony Richardson. We’re not wondering any longer. In 1-QB leagues, I’m actively looking to add Jones to my team if I need quarterback help, and looking to add him as a throw-in player even if I’m not. I doubt he’ll cost that much, but I’m fine asking around just to see what the cost is right now.

DJ Giddens (RB – IND)

Let’s stick with the Colts for another stash candidate heading into Week 3. DJ Giddens got a lot of volume in Week 1 with 12 carries, finishing as the RB46 in PPR scoring. Then he went silent in Week 2, with just one target and nothing else — zero carries, zero catches and zero yards. The current Giddens manager might be panicking already, meaning now might be a good time to add him while other players are scoring more.

Going from 12 carries to zero isn’t great, but one game isn’t a trend. Also, we see backup running backs get a tremendous boost in value all the time. All it takes is one injury to the starter, and the backup becomes worth more. I’m not saying Jonathan Taylor will get hurt; that’s impossible to predict, but I am saying that stashing Giddens for cheap now might be the play on the chance he sees more playing time in the future. His ECR this week is RB43, which means his price isn’t free, but it’s low enough that he’s worth a look.

Tyjae Spears (RB – TEN)

I think a lot of fantasy managers have forgotten about Tyaje Spears, who is currently the RB51 in ECR. Teammate Tony Pollard is doing OK in his absence, finishing as the RB33 in Week 1 and RB32 in Week 2 in PPR scoring. Those finishes aren’t very noteworthy, but his volume definitely is. Pollard received 18 carries in Week 1 and 20 carries in Week 2.

When Spears comes back from short-term injured reserve (IR) in Week 5, I wouldn’t be at all shocked to see him get the lion’s share of the carries eventually. It might take a few weeks, but I want Spears on my bench when it happens, so I can either start him myself or flip him for a profit to another running back-needy team. It might be a good idea to start poking around before everyone remembers who Spears is and what he can do.

Cedric Tillman (WR – CLE)

Receivers are basically a dime a dozen for fantasy, but Cedric Tillman stands out for a few reasons. The first is that he finished as the fantasy WR18 in Week 1, catching five out of eight targets and a touchdown. He only caught two of his seven targets in Week 2, but caught another touchdown and finished as the WR46. While touchdowns can be fluky, volume usually isn’t, and Tillman is on pace for over 120 targets on the season.

The Browns are a mess, and it’s entirely possible that whoever has Tillman left him on the bench in both weeks of the season. They either regret that and are starting him now, which means he’s not going to be cheap, or they’re sick of the ride and want off. Either way, I think he’s worth a price check as the WR55 in ECR.

Tory Horton (WR – SEA)

Tory Horton officially arrived in Week 2 when he caught his first touchdown against the Steelers. He finished as the WR37 in PPR scoring after putting up a goose egg in Week 1. This kind of variation is very common at wide receiver for fantasy, but Horton is someone I want on my bench anyway. This could be the sign of things to come, and at WR70 in ECR, his price is pretty attractive. I love low-risk, high-reward players, and Horton fits that bill.

Brock Wright (TE – DET)

Brock Wright is a deeper stash candidate at tight end. Much like Tory Horton, he was blanked in Week 1 and scored a touchdown in Week 2. Wright finished as the fantasy TE8 in PPR scoring in Week 2, adding three catches for 28 yards to his touchdown. By comparison, Sam LaPorta only recorded 26 yards on three catches.

It seems like the Lions’ offense without Ben Johnson might be running 2-TE sets more often, too, making Wright more valuable if that’s the case. I’d happily send a future fourth-round pick or something close to that to add Wright to my bench if I needed tight end depth. He might even be on the waiver wire in your league, making him free to add. That’s my favorite kind of stash candidate.
