Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Wednesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Blake Snell is a more volatile pitcher than I typically rank as the top option on a DFS main slate. However, he has the ideal matchup, and he’s been rock-solid lately. The Rockies are 29th (tied for last) in wRC+ (75) with a 23.7 K% versus lefties and 30th in wRC+ (66) with a 27.6 K% on the road in 2025. Colorado was also 28th in wRC+ (79) with a 23.2 K% in the previous 30 days.
Circling back to Snell’s recent performance, per FanGraphs, he’s had the following statistics in his previous four starts spanning 23.1 innings.
- 3.86 ERA
- 3.28 xERA
- 3.46 xFIP
- 4.14 SIERA
- 1.46 WHIP
- One win
- Two quality starts
- 10.3 BB%
- 22.7 K%
- 16.0 SwStr%
- 31.4 CSW%
- 98 stuff+
- 104 location+
- 103 pitching+
Unsurprisingly, the Dodgers are monstrous -350 favorites, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
Logan Gilbert is a beast at home. In 160 innings in his pitcher-friendly ballpark since last year, Gilbert has spun a 2.36 ERA, 2.51 xFIP, 0.78 WHIP, 4.5 BB% and 33.6 K%. He should add to his excellent numbers at home in a drool-inducing matchup.
The Cardinals are 24th in wRC+ (96) with a 21.3 K% versus righties and 25th in wRC+ (89) with a 22.7 K% on the road this year. St. Louis was also 29th in wRC+ (78) with a 25.3 K% in the previous 30 days. So, the Mariners are -235 favorites, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Jose Berrios has limped to a 5.00 ERA, 4.26 xFIP and 1.50 WHIP in his previous four starts. The 31-year-old righty has also allowed a .309 wOBA to 349 left-handed batters and a .341 wOBA to 300 right-handed batters this year, making lefties, righties and switch-hitters from Houston all stackable.
- Home (T-Mobile Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 7.5 Runs/SEA -235
Michael McGreevy has a 4.68 ERA and uglier 4.92 xERA in 13 appearances (12 starts) in 2025. The 25-year-old righty has held 164 right-handed batters to a .268 wOBA. However, the 143 lefties who’ve faced McGreevy have hammered him for a .382 wOBA, making Seattle’s left-handed batters and switch-hitters the most appealing stacking options.
Core Studs
- Yordan Alvarez is dialed in. In his previous 56 plate appearances, he’s hit three homers with eight runs, nine RBIs, a .536 OBP, .267 ISO, .514 wOBA, .516 xwOBA and 238 wRC+.
- Josh Naylor has recorded a .345 OBP, .198 ISO, .348 wOBA and 126 wRC+ against righties since 2023.
- Jorge Polanco has ripped six round-trippers with 12 runs, 14 RBIs, one stolen base, a .341 OBP, .312 ISO, .395 wOBA, .374 xwOBA and 162 wRC+.

- In 1,153 plate appearances against righties since 2023, J.P. Crawford has had a .350 OBP, .136 ISO, .326 wOBA and 116 wRC+.
