Week 2 is here, so it’s time to build some NFL DFS cash lineups.
Remember, when playing cash games, you want to target players with a nice combination of floor and ceiling. If there is a “free square” on the board, that is: A significantly underpriced player thrust into a huge bump in usage, then you can play them without thinking about how popular they’ll be among the field.
With that in mind, read on to learn more about my favorite DFS cash game picks for Week 2. We’ll provide pricing from both FanDuel and DraftKings for these picks. I’ll keep it tight, with two picks for each position.

Week 2 NFL DFS Cash Game Advice & Picks
The players below are the ones I’m looking at for NFL DFS cash game considerations this week.
Quarterbacks
Bo Nix (QB – DEN) at IND | DraftKings: $6,100/FanDuel: $7,100
Bo Nix is in a bounce-back spot against the Colts following a disappointing performance against the Titans. Not only is this in an indoor environment, but the Colts are also dealing with injuries to cornerbacks Charvarius Ward and Jaylon Jones. Look for Nix to get back on track against this injury-plagued defense.
Mac Jones (QB – SF) at NO | DraftKings: $4,000/FanDuel: $6,000
Mac Jones is a punt play at quarterback as he takes over for the injured Brock Purdy. While Jones has had a disappointing career, he’s now in a Kyle Shanahan offense, and we all know how quarterback-friendly that can be. We also have to remember that Shanahan loved Jones during the 2021 NFL Draft process.
Running Backs
Christian McCaffrey saw heavy usage against the Seahawks in Week 1. We can expect more of the same against the Saints, especially with Purdy out. Look for Jones to pepper McCaffrey with checkdowns in this exploitable matchup. It wouldn’t surprise me if this game turns into a shootout.
Breece Hall (RB – NYJ) vs. BUF | DraftKings: $6,200/FanDuel: $7,300
Breece Hall looked terrific against the Steelers last week, rushing for 107 yards on 19 carries. Up next is a matchup against a Bills defense that just got gashed by Derrick Henry. On top of that, Buffalo will be playing without stud defensive tackle Ed Oliver for this game. Expect Hall to have another big game here.
Wide Receivers
Ricky Pearsall had a great game against the Seahawks, eclipsing 100 yards. Now, he’s got an opportunity to rack up more targets with George Kittle out. Yes, Mac Jones is a downgrade from Brock Purdy under center, but we saw how the former Jaguar peppered Brian Thomas Jr. down the stretch last year. We could see something similar here.
Chris Olave (WR – NO) vs. SF | DraftKings: $4,900/FanDuel: $6,000
Chris Olave caught seven of his 13 targets for 54 yards in Kellen Moore’s first game as the Saints’ head coach. We saw Olave get more layup looks underneath, which is good news for his fantasy value. Moore is using Olave in the slot more often, which gets him more favorable looks. This is a cheap volume play.
Tight Ends
Juwan Johnson saw heavy usage in Week 1, hauling in eight of his 11 targets for 76 yards. You have to love how the Saints are playing at a fast pace with Moore calling plays. There’s a legitimate chance that Johnson can be the No. 2 target for this offense. Including him in your lineup could be a nice run-back to a 49ers stack.
We’ll finish off our DFS cash game plays with Harold Fannin Jr, who had an impressive NFL debut, catching seven of his nine targets for 63 yards. Expect another pass-heavy game script for the Browns on the road against the Ravens. With Fannin being deployed all over the field, bet on the Browns to find ways to get him the ball.
