Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Quinshon Judkins, Kimani Vidal, Justin Fields

Week 7 is here, and your fantasy football roster probably looks like a garage sale — some pieces you’re thrilled to have, others you’re desperately trying to unload, and at least one item you’re not sure why you ever thought was a good idea. The good news? There’s still time to flip that clutter into championship-caliber value. Our Featured Pros have assembled their top buy-low and sell-high recommendations to help you make the most of the trade window. Whether you’re eyeing a struggling star about to rebound or cashing out on a player playing over their head, these are the moves that can turn your season around.

Players to Buy Low & Sell High in Week 7

Buy Low

Justin Fields (QB – NYJ)

“Unfortunately, Justin Fields mightily struggled against the Denver Broncos in Week 6, taking nine sacks. The veteran completed 52.9% of his 17 pass attempts for 45 yards and only 4.9 fantasy points, totaling seven rushing attempts for 31 yards. However, most quarterbacks struggle against the Broncos’ elite defense. Meanwhile, Fields has been outstanding in his other three healthy contests this season, averaging 242.3 passing yards, 1.3 touchdowns and 27.5 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, the former Ohio State star was outstanding in those games on the ground, averaging 8.7 rushing attempts for 51.7 yards and a touchdown per contest. The schedule gets easier for the veteran, with matchups against the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals over the next two weeks. If I can sell high on Jaxson Dart or Sam Darnold for Fields, I would do that in a heartbeat.”

Sell High

Quinshon Judkins (RB – CLE)

“Everyone loves a workhorse running back. Personally, I prefer workhorses who play in good offenses. That’s not really the case with rookie Quinshon Judkins, who’s been terrific despite playing for the punchless Browns. Judkins’ early-season magic could dissipate over time. After averaging 5.5 yards per carry in his first two games, Judkins has averaged a more modest 4.1 yards per carry over his last three. Judkins had eight catches in his first three games; he’s had one catch in his last two games, on three targets. And, of course, the touchdown outlook is somewhat grim for a running back playing for a team that has scored eight touchdowns in its first five games. If I had adequate running back depth, I’d be willing to trade Judkins for Brian Thomas Jr., Courtland Sutton, or, if I were in rough shape at tight end, Tyler Warren.”

Kimani Vidal (RB – LAC)

“My favorite sell-high candidate after Week 6 is Kimani Vidal. This is because of several reasons. The first is his Week 6 performance, where he finished with 124 rushing yards, 14 receiving yards and one touchdown. He’s unlikely to approach these stats again this season. The second is that Miami had allowed the most rushing yards per game, even before its week 6 matchup. He’s going to face tougher opponents in the next three weeks, such as Indianapolis, Minnesota and Tennessee. The third is that Hassan Haskins can become the hot hand and, at the very least, make this a running back by committee with Kimani Vidal. And fourth is that Omarion Hampton could return from the injured reserve (IR) as early as Week 10, which would make Vidal nothing more than a bench player on your fantasy roster. I’d even try to get Omarion Hampton in return in a trade of Kimani Vidal.”
