NBA DFS players, I am very much looking forward to the slate of games we have going tonight! Most of the matchups have larger spreads and lower O/U totals than normal, but we should still be able to find some good opportunities throughout. Today, we’ll talk about six games, the earliest start time being 6:00 p.m., and skip the afternoon/early evening matchups since they won’t be included on Fanduel.
Ready for a fun evening? Let’s dive into our top NBA DFS picks for Sunday, November 16th.

NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
As of the writing of this article, here is the fantasy-relevant injury report for all 12 teams in Sunday’s slate:

NBA DFS Core Plays
- DraftKings: $9,400
- FanDuel: $9,500
Is there any doubt about Sengun? The Rockets’ starting center has been killing it all season and was just one assist shy of a triple-double in his latest matchup against the Portland Trailblazers. Also, despite the Rockets being 8.5-point favorites against the Orlando Magic, Sengun has proven he can still perform in potential blowout situations this season.
Sengun is one of the more expensive players on the slate, will be highly rostered, and is likely to be the most expensive center on the slate due to the injury status of Anthony Davis. Regardless, Sengun just has to be on DFS rosters tonight – it’s going to be extremely difficult to make up his value with a different core pick.
- DraftKings: $9,100
- FanDuel: $9,100
If there is an opportunity to make a core pick that rivals Sengun’s projected value, it’s with Jalen Johnson. Johnson dismantled the Utah Jazz defense in his last game with 31 points, 14 assists and 18 rebounds in 41 minutes. Johnson has been absolutely thriving in fantasy and has shown that he can be a nightly triple-double threat.
While the Suns have a much higher defensive rating than the Jazz, they are middle of the road, and this game projects to be close and high-scoring with a 1.5 point spread favoring the Hawks and a 231.5 O/U. Don’t expect Johnson to have the night he had this past Thursday, but you can’t rule it out entirely.
NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
- DraftKings: $8,700
- FanDuel: $8,300
With Banchero sitting on the sidelines tonight, Wagner seems like a perfect pick to help get you into the top half of a DFS pool. He’s been knocking on the door of a double-double as of late, with at least 19 points and 9 rebounds in 3 of his last 4 games.
As I mentioned earlier, the Magic vs. Rockets matchup does have a larger spread than others in tonight’s slate, but Wagner is a no-brainer pick for cash games regardless of the circumstances.
If you’re looking for a great cash game pick in a game that is projected to be close, look no further than Michael Porter Jr. Porter’s 23 shot attempts against Orlando on Friday pretty much tell you all you need to know. However, I will add that Michael Porter Jr. is scoring pretty efficiently, getting to the free-throw line, and filling up the stat sheet regardless of the game circumstances.
Unfortunately, DraftKings DFS players will not be able to select players from the Nets and Wizards matchup, but Porter’s high floor is simply irresistible for FanDuel players.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
- DraftKings: $5,600
- FanDuel: $5,300
After serving well in his last two starting appearances, Williams had a down game, shooting just 2-9 with 7 points against the Clippers on Friday. Despite this recent drop off, Williams is an interesting play in DFS lineups as this could be a “buy-low” move to cash in on.
- DraftKings: $3,800
- FanDuel: $4,900
Sensabaugh has been very on and off as of late, with the Jazz bench rotation fluctuating heavily from game to game. However, Sensabaugh has a chance to contribute here against a lower-rated Chicago Bulls defense in a game that is predicted to be very high scoring with a 242.5 O/U.
DFS players considering Sensabaugh will hope that he plays at least 15 minutes, as he’s shown that he can produce with that allotment. It’s a risky play, but it could pay off if he can outperform his cost.

NBA DFS Value Plays
- DraftKings: $5,300
- FanDuel: $5,500
Derik Queen has shown that he’s very capable of putting up great games as a nightly double-double threat for the Pelicans, yet is still priced right around that $5,500 range for DFS. Also, Zion Williamson is questionable heading into Sunday, so that is something DFS players will want to keep an eye on.
With the Pelicans dropping their last 4 games, it may be worth it to get Derik Queen into lineups tonight, regardless of Zion’s injury status, as the team just needs their contributions to come from somewhere at this point.
- DraftKings: $6,800
- FanDuel: $5,900
Jusuf Nurkic is a bit more expensive for a value play. That being said, he’s notched two double-doubles in his last two games and has showcased his ability to shoot efficiently, giving him the tools to provide great value relative to the cost.
The floor is lower for Nurkic as well, who has played inconsistently since his promotion to the starting lineup. However, if he can get going against a Bulls team facing a few key injuries, you won’t regret adding Nurkic to your DFS lineup.
