It’s time to start prepping for fantasy baseball drafts as the long offseason comes to an end. Participating in a fantasy baseball mock draft is a great way to familiarize yourself with the player pool and find trends for real drafts.
Using FantasyPros’ Draft Wizard tool lets you run realistic mock drafts with your league-specific settings. We used the Draft Wizard for a 10-team roto mixed auction league. The roster settings are 2-C, 1-1B, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-SS, 5-OF, 1-CI, 1-MI, 1-UTIL, 9-Pitchers and zero bench spots. You can find the draft board here.

Fantasy Baseball Mock Draft
Catchers
Ben Rice (C, 1B, DH – NYY) | $17
Ben Rice should be pretty close to being a full-time starter at first base and hitting fourth in the Yankees’ lineup. There is a ton of power in his bat, and he has a fantastic hit tool to go along with it.
Rice should get more plate appearances than the majority of the other catchers in the player pool since he will not be catching a ton for the Yankees, which only adds to his upside.
Carlos Narvaez (C – BOS) | $1
Carlos Narvaez was great before hurting his knee and then struggled the rest of the way. With the knee healed, he should be a nice bounce-back candidate.
Infielders
Vinnie Pasquantino (1B, DH – KC) | $18
Vinny Pasquantino is coming off his best season as a professional, and he is getting the benefit of the fences moving in at Kauffman Stadium. He could take it up another notch. At worst, he should at least repeat his fantastic 2025 campaign.
Brice Turang (2B – MIL) | $15
Brice Turang will likely take a step back in power, but he should be able to improve his batting average and maintain or improve his stolen bases numbers. I love getting a reliable second baseman because the pool is so bad, so he was definitely a target of mine.
Zach Neto (SS – LAA) | $26
Zach Neto is an absolute stud who is fairly priced and could improve. He missed time at the beginning of the season, however.
Jose Ramirez (3B, DH – CLE) | $45
I don’t like to overpay, and most of the top-tier talent was way too expensive, so getting a super reliable stud that wasn’t $50+ was an easy call.
Manny Machado (3B – SD) | $21
This is one I regret a little, not because Manny Machado is a bad player or this is a bad price, but because I rostered too many third basemen. I could have used this budget, or what I spent on Alex Bregman, on better players at other positions.
Colt Keith (1B, 2B, 3B, DH – DET) | $1
Colt Keith is someone I am not ready to give up on. Yes, he is a platoon player, but he also leads off when he is in the lineup. I also haven’t given up on him figuring out left-handed pitching.
Keith has plenty of power, a very good hit tool and is eligible at multiple positions. He’s a great bench target.
Alex Bregman (3B – CHC) | $9
I wish I had gone a different direction here, but the price on Alex Bregman was too good to pass up. He will hit high up in a great lineup and is a very solid contributor in multiple categories.
Outfielders
Wyatt Langford (OF – TEX) | $19
Wyatt Langford took a nice leap in his second season in the Majors and looks to do it again. He has a lot of power in the bat, and while the hit tool is still developing, he showed a very impressive one in his rocket trip through the minor leagues.
At worst, Langford is a 20/20 player. At best, he has 30/30 upside.
Jarren Duran (OF – BOS) | $17
I do not get why Jarren Duran doesn’t get more love. He had a little bit of a down year, but he has shown he is a fantastic power/speed threat leading off for one of the best lineups in baseball.
Duran logs 700 plate appearances every season and should get back to 100+ runs.
TJ Friedl (OF – CIN) | $1
TJ Friedl isn’t going to light up the stat sheet for you, but he leads off in one of the best offensive environments at the top of a really good lineup. If he stays healthy, he could score 100+ runs with a 15/25 line.
Konnor Griffin (SS, OF – PIT) | $1
Unfortunately, the news now looks like it is less likely that Konnor Griffin will make the team out of camp. However, he is a generational talent who could force the issue early for a Pirates team that wants to be more competitive.
Jac Caglianone (1B, OF – KC) | $2
The rookie season was disappointing, but the underlying numbers were much better than the surface ones. Jac Caglianone hits the ball extremely hard and has a very good contact profile. The Royals moving in the fences should help, too. This is an easy buy.
Pitchers
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (SP – LAD) | $28
Coming off a fantastic season where he was able to stay healthy, there are no concerns with Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He will win a ton of games on the Dodgers and provide amazing ratios and strikeouts.
Andres Munoz (RP – SEA) | $17
Closers are hard to find if you aren’t willing to spend the money. In real auction drafts, the price will be higher than in mocks, so I went with a more expensive reliever to highlight that discrepancy.
Eury Perez (SP – MIA) | $7
This will be Eury Perez’s first full year since Tommy John surgery, and I am hoping for big things. Perez was on his way to being a top-25 starting pitcher before his injury, and he should get back to those levels. He’s a steal at $7.
Devin Williams (RP – NYM) | $7
In a 12-team league, you do not always have to get a great second closer, but I prefer to lock down the position in auctions, especially at this price. Devin Williams will be more expensive in most formats because of the lack of depth at the position.
Cam Schlittler (SP – NYY) | $1
I honestly wasn’t expecting to get Cam Schlittler for just a dollar, but I will take it. He was fantastic in his rookie season, and the stuff was unreal. He needs to keep the walks in check, but if he can, he will win a ton of games for the Yankees.
Ryne Nelson (SP, RP – ARI) | $1
I am a big believer in the skills we have seen from Ryne Nelson over his first few seasons. Now he will finally get to enter the season as a cemented starter.
Nelson is reportedly refining his curveball and slider in the hopes of becoming less dependent on his fastball to go deeper into games. If he does, he could take a massive leap forward.
Parker Messick (SP – CLE) | $1
Parker Messick is one of my favorite late-game pitchers. He has fantastic command and control, and the stuff is better than he gets credit for. The Guardians organization is great with pitching development, and he should be a nice workhorse for them.
Zebby Matthews (SP – MIN) | $1
Zebby Matthews has all the talent in the world to be a top-tier starting pitcher. He just needs to put it together. He has the type of upside that can win you your league.
Draft Wizard Insights
This team did not grade out well (C- 71/100), and I definitely made some mistakes. Overall, I like the team, and in a league like this, you will be burning and turning the bottom part of your roster.
