Closer News & Notes
- Mason Miller has continued his dominance on the season. He has yet to allow a run across his 12 1/3 innings of work.
- Ryan Helsley is on the bereavement list, but he is expected to be activated over the weekend.
- Kenley Jansen blew his second save of the season Friday night. He has still remained steady overall.
- Raisel Iglesias landed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. Robert Suarez is the clear next man up.
- Edwin Diaz landed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow loose bodies. Tanner Scott and Alex Vesia will see save chances in his place.
- Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced Friday that they would move to a committee approach at closer following Jeff Hoffman‘s struggles. Louis Varland will also see save chances.
- Jhoan Duran landed on the 15-day injured list with a left oblique strain. Brad Keller is likely next up for save chances in his place.
