Friday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props

Friday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (6/19)

Jacob Misiorowski (SP – MIL) at Atlanta Braves

Jacob Misiorowski has been the best pitcher in the Majors this season. According to FanGraphs, among 62 qualified pitchers this year, Misiorowski is first in ERA (1.34), first in xERA (2.04), first in xFIP (2.04), first in SIERA (2.14), first in WHIP (0.74) and first in strikeout rate (39.8%).

Tonight, Misiorowski will face a Braves lineup without Ronald Acuna Jr., who’s on the injured list (IL). Michael Harris has also dealt with a back issue.

Atlanta’s seventh ranking in wRC+ (107) with a 21.1% strikeout rate versus righties in 2026 should be taken with a grain of salt. They’re also tied for 23rd in wRC+ (97) with a 21% strikeout rate at home, which is a check in the pros column for using Misiorowski. In addition, the Brewers are -155 favorites, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.

Ranger Suarez (SP – BOS) at Seattle Mariners

Ranger Suarez got knocked around in his first two starts of the regular season, but he’s been quite good since. In 11 subsequent starts, totaling 61.2 innings, the veteran lefty has amassed the following stats:

    • 2 wins
    • 4 quality starts
    • 2.48 ERA
    • 2.94 xERA
    • 3.43 xFIP
    • 3.55 SIERA
    • 1.07 WHIP
    • 7.3% walk rate
    • 26.2% strikeout rate
    • 10.5% SwStr%
    • 28% CSW%
    • 95 stuff+
    • 106 location+
    • 101 pitching+

Suarez has a plus matchup tonight. Sure, the Mariners are fourth in wRC+ (116) with a 23.7% strikeout rate at home this season. Still, Seattle is 27th in wRC+ (85) with a 23% strikeout rate versus lefties.

While Cal Raleigh recently returned from the IL, Randy Arozarena hit the IL. The Red Sox are small underdogs (+110), but the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly seven runs. Thus, Suarez is an appealing SP2 in all game types on DraftKings.

Roki Sasaki (SP – LAD) vs. Baltimore Orioles

Roki Sasaki‘s heater came to a screeching halt in his last start, when he yielded seven runs to the White Sox in 4.1 innings. Nevertheless, in Sasaki’s last seven starts, including that dud, he has recorded the following numbers in 39.2 innings:

    • 2 wins
    • 3 quality starts
    • 3.86 ERA
    • 3.46 xERA
    • 3.39 xFIP
    • 3.41 SIERA
    • 1.06 WHIP
    • 6.8% walk rate
    • 25.9% strikeout rate
    • 13.8% SwStr%
    • 27.4% CSW%
    • 109 stuff+
    • 102 location+
    • 112 pitching+

Sasaki’s matchup and betting info are mixed tonight. The Orioles are sixth in wRC+ (110) with a 23.1% strikeout rate versus righties and 21st in wRC+ (92) with a 25.9% strikeout rate on the road this season.

Baltimore is also 26th in wRC+ (85) with a 28.1% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. As a result, the Dodgers are -190 favorites, albeit the game’s total is a slightly alarming 9.5 runs.

    Suggested Lineup Stacks

RosterResource projects 31-year-old righty reliever Lake Bachar to start tonight. He’s worked as an opener three times this year, and his season high for outs recorded is nine.

Bachar is having a career year, with a 2.97 ERA and a 2.64 xERA in 39.1 innings. Still, the larger sample features a 3.61 ERA, 3.89 xERA, 4.03 xFIP and 3.55 SIERA in 84 career appearances (four starts) and 119.2 innings. Those numbers would be more impressive if a starter logged them, but they’re only OK for a reliever.

Meanwhile, eight of San Francisco’s projected starters have logged at least a 104 wRC+ against righties since 2024, with six posting at least a 117 wRC+. The salaries are also affordable for the Giants, making them an easy team to stack around Jacob Misiorowski’s high salary.

Michael Soroka is pitching well in his first year with the Diamondbacks. Still, he’s surrendered a .328 wOBA to left-handed batters this year and a .323 wOBA to them since last season.

Minnesota’s projected lineup features six left-handed batters or switch-hitters, and two of the right-handed batters are potent. The Twins are likely a contrarian stack tonight, and their affordability is a plus.

    Core Studs

    • Bryce Eldridge has launched six long balls with 19 runs, 16 RBI, a .405 on-base percentage (OBP), .239 ISO, .413 wOBA, .403 expected wOBA (xwOBA) and 168 wRC+ in 131 plate appearances this year, and he’s crushing lefties and righties. Eldridge is fine if the Marlins mix lefties and righties in a bullpen game.
    • Jackson Chourio has belted 10 bombs with 28 runs, 28 RBI, five stolen bases, a .360 OBP, .252 ISO, .395 wOBA and 153 wRC+ in 178 plate appearances this season.
    • Max Muncy has crushed 16 homers with 47 runs, 28 RBI, a .367 OBP, .256 ISO, .385 wOBA, .388 xwOBA and 147 wRC+ in 259 plate appearances this year.

    Value Plays/Punts

    • Royce Lewis donned the golden sombrero yesterday. Nevertheless, he’s excelled since the Twins recalled him from Triple-A. In 42 plate appearances from June 6th through June 16th, Lewis hit three homers with six runs, seven RBI, one stolen base, a .381 OBP, .297 ISO, .423 wOBA, .346 xwOBA and 171 wRC+.
    • Jo Adell has hit 21 homers with a .329 OBP, .300 ISO, .381 wOBA and 146 wRC+ in 298 plate appearances against lefties since 2024.
    • Spencer Jones has ripped 13 round-trippers with nine stolen bases, a .378 OBP, .301 ISO, .411 wOBA, .417 xwOBA and 143 wRC+ in 185 plate appearances in Triple-A this year. In 56 plate appearances for the Yankees, he’s hit two homers with four runs, seven RBI, one stolen base, a .339 OBP, .163 ISO, .334 wOBA and 112 wRC+.
