Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (6/16)

Logan Gilbert (SP – SEA) vs. Baltimore Orioles

Logan Gilbert has been good at home, and he’s left some meat on the bone. According to FanGraphs, Gilbert has logged a 3.57 ERA, 2.82 xFIP, 0.95 WHIP, 5.8% walk rate and 33.1% strikeout rate in 113.1 innings at home since last year.

Gilbert’s matchup is mixed, but his betting info is tasty tonight.

The Orioles are fifth in wRC+ (111) with a 22.9% strikeout rate versus righties but tied for 16th in wRC+ (94) with a 25.6% strikeout rate on the road in 2026. Baltimore is also 26th in wRC+ (85) with a 28.1% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. The Mariners are -155 favorites, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.

Hunter Brown (SP – HOU) vs. Detroit Tigers

Hunter Brown is a risky pick in his first start off the injured list (IL). However, he’s an intriguing GPP selection because he could be contrarian and is a talented pitcher. Brown has twirled a 2.14 ERA, 2.96 xFIP, 0.98 WHIP, 9% walk rate and 31.1% strikeout rate in 96.2 innings at home since last season.

Brown’s matchup and betting info are favorable. The Tigers are tied for 18th in wRC+ (97) with a 22.8% strikeout rate versus righties and tied for 18th in wRC+ (93) with a 22.3% strikeout rate on the road this year. Detroit is also tied for 24th in wRC+ (86) with a 25.6% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. The Astros are -150 favorites, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.

Grant Holmes (SP – ATL) vs. San Francisco Giants

Grant Holmes is another hurler who will benefit from playing at home tonight, and he’s an enticing SP2 at DraftKings in all game types. Holmes is much better at home than on the road. In 103.2 innings at home since last season, Holmes has recorded a 3.21 ERA, 3.65 xFIP, 1.24 WHIP, 9.6% walk rate and 26.5% strikeout rate.

Holmes’ matchup is tricky, but his betting info is OK. The Giants are 10th in wRC+ (104) with a 19.9% strikeout rate versus righties and tied for sixth in wRC+ (104) with a 21.1% strikeout rate on the road.

San Francisco is also tied for 11th in wRC+ (102) with a 21.6% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. The Braves are -160 favorites, albeit with a somewhat alarming total of nine runs.

    Suggested Lineup Stacks

New York Mets Projected Lineup (6/16)

The Mets have six projected left-handed batters in their lineup, and that’s bad news for Brady Singer. He has coughed up a .366 wOBA to 578 left-handed batters since last year.

In addition, the veteran righty has a 5.61 ERA, 5.82 xERA, 4.63 xFIP and 4.62 SIERA in 13 starts this season. The Mets should tee off after getting shut out by Chase Burns and Cincinnati’s bullpen last night.

    Athletics Projected Lineup (6/16)

The Athletics tattooed the Pirates last night, and they can do so again in their hitter-friendly home ballpark tonight. Mitch Keller is having a lousy season, with a 5.14 ERA, 4.98 xERA, 4.42 xFIP and 4.61 SIERA in 14 starts. He’s at his worst against lefties, allowing a .342 wOBA to them since last season.
