10 Burning Questions: Week 15 (2026 Fantasy Baseball)

Welcome to our weekly fantasy baseball burning questions article. Each week, I’ll dive into 10 key questions that are popular within the fantasy community.

These will be carefully chosen to ensure that only the most polarizing topics and players are featured. Let’s get into my 10 burning questions.

Fantasy Baseball 10 Burning Questions

1. What’s the latest with Sandy Alcantara trade rumors?

With the Marlins establishing themselves as playoff contenders following their current red-hot streak, the team is expected to keep Sandy Alcantara. Miami is a much better team than expected, so this is good news, since Alcantara will get to continue to throw in a pitcher-friendly environment.

2. Who is a good buy-low hitter?

I like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as a buy-low hitter. We saw him homer in his last game. I know the power outage has been extremely frustrating, but you have to think he has a strong second half. He’s too good a hitter to be held down this long. I expect him to go on a power binge and get the Blue Jays back into the playoffs after the All-Star break.

3. Who is a good buy-low pitcher?

Paul Skenes has looked human lately. He’s really struggled on the mound, now surpassed by Jacob Misiorowski, which is crazy to think considering where the two were coming into the season. But this has created a buying opportunity. Try to see if you can acquire Skenes at a discount due to his recent string of poor outings.

4. Who is a good sell-high hitter?

I know that he’s been one of the hottest hitters in baseball, so this feels like a cop out, but Luis Garcia Jr. is a sell-high right now. This power surge came out of nowhere, so it’s not a bad idea to see if you can cash in and get a more proven hitter for him. Perhaps you can include Garcia in a package with someone like Sandy Alcantara to get Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

5. Who is a good sell-high pitcher?

Max Meyer has been one of the biggest values among starting pitchers in fantasy baseball this season. While he always had the talent, he’s performing a bit above expectations right now, so it’s worth a look to see if you can cash in on him. Maybe you can acquire a disappointing pitcher like George Kirby for Meyer.

6. When is Ronald Acuna Jr. coming back?

The latest report on Ronald Acuna Jr. is that he’s getting closer to a rehab assignment. You have to think that he’ll be ready to return after the All-Star break. It’s been yet another injury-plagued season for Acuna, but we all know that he’s got the kind of elite talent to carry your fantasy teams in the second half.

7. When is Oneil Cruz coming back?

Like Acuna, Oneil Cruz appears ready to return following the All-Star break. This is huge news for your fantasy teams, as he was on a 25/40 pace before getting injured. While he’s obviously going to hurt your batting average, welcoming back such an elite power/speed profile is a major boon.

8. What happened to Bryce Miller versus the Marlins?

Bryce Miller came into his start against the Marlins pitching like one of the best arms in the American League. But his velocity was down, and his command was off against a red-hot Marlins lineup, resulting in a poor outing. Let’s hope that there are no injury issues here, but we’ll have to monitor the situation closely.

9. Is Eury Perez back?

Eury Perez had a perfect game through seven innings before the Marlins decided to pull him from the game. He’s been dominant since returning from injury. Expect Perez to carry this over in the second half, reminding us all why he was such a coveted pitcher coming into the season.

10. Are the Tigers back?

Don’t look now, but the Tigers are slowly starting to get red-hot. With a starting rotation that includes Tarik Skubal, Framber Valdez and Casey Mize, they have the pieces to go on a run. This could mean that they opt to hold Skubal for the rest of the season as they try to go for it one more time while he’s with the team.
