Fantasy Football Advice

Kenny Stills (WR - HOU)
Sat, Aug 31
Player Note on Kenny Stills (WR - HOU)
Stills has been a decent late round flier over the past few weeks, after reports about him being traded have surfaced. With Stills now being traded to the Texans, his stock has gone up a decent amount. Keke is still recovering from his ankle injury, and Fuller is coming off a torn ACL. Both should be big parts of the offense when healthy...but an injury to one of them makes Stills a weekly fantasy starter. This team is going to throw the football a ton, and Stills is the kind of player that can make big plays. This is a great pairing
Matt Breida (RB - SF)

Player Note on Matt Breida (RB - SF)
Breida and Coleman are the best two RB's on the 49ers offense. This is a team with elite coaching, and knows how to get the most out of it's players. I expect the 49ers to be much better offensively than people think, and the running backs are going to benefit from that. I do prefer Coleman, but he's going much earlier in drafts. Breida's ADP is a joke, and he needs to be someone you target heavily
Ezekiel Elliott (RB - DAL)

Player Note on Ezekiel Elliott (RB - DAL)
The latest report is that the Cowboys have offered Zeke a deal to become the second highest paid RB...right above Bell and below Gurley. However, Zeke wants to be the highest paid. He has absolutely no leverage, as the Cowboys could keep him under contract for the next two seasons, then even franchise him for a third. If he actually needs to be the highest paid, then there's a very real chance this lasts well into the season.
Damien Williams (RB - KC)
Tue, Aug 27
Player Note on Damien Williams (RB - KC)
Damien Williams has as much upside as any running back in fantasy. Remember what a Chiefs RB is capable of. Hunt finished as the RB 11 in half PPR scoring last season...in just 11 games! Hunt is a good RB, but Williams is essentially a bigger, faster, and more athletic version of Hunt. He also showed last season that he can produce in this offense. Williams had 5 starts last season after Hunt was released and Ware was injured. He averaged 114 yards and 2.2 TD's in those 5 starts. That stat line would have been the #1 fantasy RB over a full season. Now, obviously those TD numbers will come down...but he's still going to be elite. Andy Reid has produced a RB 1 for fantasy in 12 of his 20 seasons as head coach. So when you tell me I'm also getting a discount on an Andy Reid RB. Then I'm all in.
Preston Williams (WR - MIA)

Player Note on Preston Williams (WR - MIA)
The Dolphins are not a good offense. I want to make that clear. But Williams has looked great this camp and preseason...and the only reason he fell in the NFL draft was due to off the field issues. The Dolphins current WR core is: DeVante Parker (lol), Kenny Stills (currently being shopped), Albert Wilson (recovering from hig surgery), Jakeem Grant and Preston Williams. It would not shock me at all to see Williams out there on 3 WR sets to start the season...and potentially take over as WR 1 by the end of the year. Is that going to happen? I don't know. But could it happen? Yes.
Ezekiel Elliott (RB - DAL)

Player Note on Ezekiel Elliott (RB - DAL)
The latest report is that the Cowboys have offered Zeke a deal to become the second highest paid RB...right above Bell and below Gurley. I do believe that a deal is going to get done, and that's why I'm ok with drafting him where we had him ranked before. Tony Pollard has earned a role in this offense, and I'd be very surprised if he didn't take some third down work away from Zeke. But make no mistake, they aren't going to make him the second highest paid RB and then not use him. He's going to push for the league lead in rushing yards, and he's going to see positive TD regression compared to last season.
C.J. Anderson (RB - DET)
Sat, Aug 17
Player Note on C.J. Anderson (RB - DET)
Anderson could have some decent weeks this season. KJ is the clear starter, and Anderson will only be getting the low upside carries. However, Anderson carries a lot of upside if KJ were to go down...as we've seen what he's capable of down the stretch last season.
Mike Davis (RB - CHI)
Sat, Aug 17
Player Note on Mike Davis (RB - CHI)
I think David Montgomery is going to take this job over right from the start...but when drafting this late it's all about upside. If Montgomery were to go down then Davis becomes an instant fantasy starter. He's just as good of a pass catcher as Montgomery, so I would expect him to step right into the lead back role. This is purely a late round flier though...I don't expect him to be usable while the other backs are healthy.
Hunter Renfrow (WR - OAK)
Sat, Aug 17
Player Note on Hunter Renfrow (WR - OAK)
Renfrow isn't someone you should need to draft in a 12 team league. If you play in deeper formats though, he's certainly an option. Renfrow should be the Raiders starting slot WR this season...and it's not like they're going to be ahead all that much. There's very little talent in that WR core behind the top 3, so he should be given a decent amount of opportunity. This is still Carr's 3rd WR, so you shouldn't get too excited. But he's not a bad stash in deeper formats.
Quincy Enunwa (WR - NYJ)
Sat, Aug 17
Player Note on Quincy Enunwa (WR - NYJ)
Enunwa will be the Jets starting outside WR across from Robby Anderson this season. Robby is still the receiver we want in this offense, but with how much better the Jets are going to be on offense this season...we should really be considering Enunwa late in drafts.
