Player Note on Brandin Cooks (WR - HOU)
Cooks finished as a WR1 in Week 8 - the first time he had done so since Week 2. He'll get a great chance to do it again Sunday when the Texans face a beatable Dolphins' defense. He should be considered a WR2 with WR1 upside.
Player Note on Pittsburgh Steelers (DST - PIT)
Pittsburgh's defense has finished as the DST9 two weeks in a row and will face Justin Fields and Chicago in a highly favorable matchup. Consider PIT DST a top-4 play for that one.
Player Note on New Orleans Saints (DST - NO)
Coming off a huge Week 8 win over the Bucs in which the defense stifled and hounded Tom Brady all afternoon, NO DST is a locked-in top-3 play against Atlanta's struggling offense in Week 9.
Player Note on Albert Okwuegbunam (TE - DEN)
Albert O has all the makings of a top-12 TE for Week 9, playing in a friendly matchup with Noah Fant unavailable. If you're in need of a streamer at the position, Albert O should be your guy.
Player Note on Zach Ertz (TE - ARI)
With Arizona's receiving corps banged up and a potential Kyler Murray absence, Ertz could see a huge bump in production in Week 9 as a reliable check-down option against the Niners. Keep rolling with him as a top-7 option.
Player Note on Kyle Pitts (TE - ATL)
Pitts falls a bit down the rankings this week due to the tough matchup with the Saints, but he shouldn't be ranked outside the top-3 most weeks given the tremendous upside he's displayed as of late.
Player Note on Kadarius Toney (WR - NYG)
Toney should be good to go for Week 9, and he's got easy WR3/flex appeal against the Raiders with New York's receiving corps still in shambles. Toney is a high-risk, high-reward play in this one.
Player Note on Rondale Moore (WR - ARI)
With A.J. Green (COVID-19) trending toward out and DeAndre Hopkins also highly questionable, Moore immediately jumps into the WR3/flex conversation against the Niners. Fire him up as a top-30 play.
Player Note on Adrian Peterson (RB - TEN)
Peterson comes in just behind Jeremy McNichols in my rankings this week, as AP is brand new and facing a stingy Rams defense. Expect him to see enough volume to return some flex value, but the risk is clear in Week 9.
Player Note on AJ Dillon (RB - GB)
Dillon has finished as a top-35 RB in three of his last five games, and he should have a chance to do that again Sunday when Green Bay faces the Chiefs' friendly run defense. With Aaron Rodgers out, expect the Pack to lean on its running backs.
