Jose Torres records his first save of the season Sunday
by Joshua Wattay | Mon, May 1st 10:34am EDT
Jose Torres retired three batters in the bottom of the 12th inning and earned his first save of the season during Sunday's 5-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
The Padres and Giants were at an impasse, as both teams were tied at two runs a piece entering the 12th inning. Wil Myers bombed a three-run-homer to bring the Padres ahead 5-2 before Jose Torres was called in to close out the game. Torres retired the side quickly and posted his first save of the season. Torres now has 13 innings-pitched, 18 strikeouts, and a 4.85 earned-run-average in 2017.
