Alex Meyer gave up two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five in a no-decision against the Yankees Monday. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, as his pitch count rose quickly due to the walks and a general lack of command.
Fantasy Impact:
Meyer has electric stuff and is capable of great strikeout numbers, but the walks continue to plague him. His ERA is 4.05 and his WHIP is 1.55, as he has struck out 46 in 40 innings but has also walked 29. His next start is scheduled for Saturday against the Royals.
