Alex Meyer allows just one hit, sets up Halos for 7-0 win against Nationals

by Zahjyee Whineglass | Thu, Jul 20th 10:05am EDT

Alex Meyer owned the mound for 7.0 innings, allowing just one hit and one walk in a win over the Washington Nationals. He sat down seven via strikeout.

Fantasy Impact:

Meyer's flashes of greatness solidify his high ceiling, but he has been inconsistent all season long. He spun five hitless innings against a top club before allowing his lone hit in the sixth. Just to point out a trend, Meyer has shut out three of his last five opponents. Two of which were the Nationals and the Dodgers, so he is rising to the occasion with the best of them. This is important for those in DFS leagues because he will continue to sport a bargain price tag until he gains consistency.
