Cardinals release Jason Motte

The Cardinals have released reliever Jason Motte.
Fantasy Impact:
Motte will more than likely shop for other offers, but still has a chance to sign a minor league deal with the Cardinals. Motte allowed six runs on 13 hits and two walks over 5.1 innings this spring.
