Jake Thompson gets hammered in loss to Braves

The Phillies early season pitching woes continued in Saturday's 15-2 loss to the Braves. Jake Thompson was ineffective in relief, allowing four earned runs on six hits, with a walk in two innings of work. For Thompson, it was his first appearance of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Thompson was relatively effective in 11 Major League games last season, pitching to an ERA of 3.88. However he was prone to the long ball, allowing 9 in 46 1/3 innings. Thompson's first outing should be a blip on the radar. Expect significantly more solid performances moving forward.
