by Mike Maher | Thu, Nov 1st 9:02pm EDT

Dodgers third baseman David Freese has agreed to a buyout and a new contract with the team, according to a report from Fancred's Jon Heyman. Freese was bought out for 500K, then agreed to a 4.5M deal. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

We will have to see how the rest of the offseason plays out, but Freese figures to be a part-time player for the Dodgers in 2019, playing primarily against left-handers and occasionally against right-handers. In 280 at-bats in 2018, he hit .296 with 11 home runs, 51 RBIs, and 38 runs scored.
