Fernando Rodney earns first save Friday

Nationals reliever Fernando Rodney struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn his first save of the season in Friday's win over the Detroit Tigers.

Fantasy Impact:

Rodney now has two scoreless appearances under his belt for the Nationals after having an awful start to the season for the Athletics. If he can continue to pitch well in a struggling Washington bullpen, the 42-year-old could see some late-inning opportunities when Sean Doolittle is unavailable, as he was on Friday.
