Pedro Payano (1-0) allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven in five innings in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Rangers. He picked up his first win of the season.

Payano served as the primary pitcher following Brett Martin and allowed only a single run in five innings. He posted a 4.40 ERA and 1.28 WHIP across two minor league stops this season. After earning his first win in the majors, he could stick with the Rangers longer than expected. He is currently does not have a scheduled start.
