Zac Veen signs contract with Rockies

Fantasy Impact:
Veen is receiving a $5 million signing bonus, which is just above slot value for the ninth overall selection. The 18-year-old was viewed as the best prep hitter in the 2020 draft class and landed in a dream situation for fantasy purposes. However, he is so young and Colorado is so cautious with their prospects that it'll likely be a while until he debuts in the bigs.
