Descalso will compete with Nick Hoerner and David Bote for the backup 2B position behind Jason Kipnis. The 33-year-old had a year to forget in 2019, slashing .173/.271/.250 with two homers, 15 RBI, 20 runs and two stolen bases across 193 plate appearances.
