Ryan rejoined the Cubs and took part in workouts. His late arrival to spring training 2.0 was labeled as a “process based” delay. Ryan went through the COVID-19 screenings and was cleared. The 28-year-old owned a 3.54 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 58:29 K:BB across 73 games for the Indians in 2019.
