Tim Lopes picks up RBI double in defeat

by Jon Mathisen | Mon, Sep 21st 11:48am EDT

Tim Lopes went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in the Mariners 7-4 extra-innings loss to the Padres on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

After a pitcher's duel through the first four innings, Lopes broke up the stalemate with an RBI double, his 11th of the year, off Dinelson Lamet to score Evan White. The Mariners only had five hits as a team and they eventually lost in extra-innings. Lopes started off the season on a positive note but struggled with consistency most of August and is no longer an everyday player for the M's. He owns a .258 batting average with a .674 OPS to go along with 11 doubles, one home run, 13 RBI, and five stolen bases.
