Kevin Ginkel takes the loss on Tuesday vs. Miami

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, May 5th 12:22am EDT

RHP Kevin Ginkel took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed three runs on three hits over one strikeout over 1/3 of an inning in the D-Backs 9-3 loss to the Marlins.

Fantasy Impact:

Ginkel entered in the bottom of the eighth inning to preserve a 3-3 tie for the D-Backs but ran into trouble immediately. He served up a double to Jesus Aguilar before allowing back-to-back singles. He recorded one out and then was replaced by Alex Young, who allowed the inherited runner to score. Ginkel has been getting some high-leverage work for the D-Backs but he hasn't performed well up to this point. He's got a 5.56 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 11 1/3 innings.
