Jarrod Dyson went 1-for-5 with a single in the D'Backs' 15-5 loss to the Nationals on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Dyson is now hitting .262 with 15 steals this year. His fantasy value is mainly tied to roto and categories leagues since his lone calling card is speed, which isn't as valuable in points formats.

Category: Game Recaps

Ketel Marte went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, a walk, and three runs scored as the D'Backs fell to the Nationals on Sunday afternoon.

Fantasy Impact: That makes 20 homers on the year for Marte, who also homered twice last night. It's the continuation of an incredible breakout for the 25-year-old, who is hitting .286 with a .907 OPS, 20 homers, 50 RBI, and 50 runs scored here in mid-June.

Category: Game Recaps

Archie Bradley was tagged for four runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings on Sunday versus the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact: Bradley started the game as an "opener" for the D'Backs, which obviously didn't go well. Bradley has struggled all season and now owns a 5.18 ERA here in mid-June. He only has five holds this year without a save, so there aren't many leagues he needs to be owned in right now.

Christian Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 10-3 win over the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact: The Diamondbacks were able to tee off Stephen Strasburg in this one, getting to him for a total of four long balls. One of those belonged to Walker, who now has 12 on the year. The first baseman began the season red hot but has cooled since.

Eduardo Escobar went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in the D'Backs' 10-3 win over the Nationals on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: The 30-year-old just won't stop producing for fantasy owners this season. He's been fortunate to be a part of a surprisingly strong Arizona lineup, but he's also been hitting well himself. Escobar is sitting at 17 homers, 57 RBI, 47 runs scored, a .293 average, and a .921 OPS here in mid-June.

Category: Game Recaps

Adam Jones went 1-for-5 with a solo homer in the Diamondbacks' 10-3 win over the Nationals on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: It remains incredible that Jones had to settle for a minor-league contract this winter. The 33-year-old is now riding a four-game hitting streak and batting .277 with an .817 OPS for the year. Saturday's homer gives him 13 on the season.

Category: Game Recaps

David Peralta went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI as the Diamondbacks beat the Nationals 10-3 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Peralta continues to be a steady contributor to fantasy teams, batting .289 with an .847 OPS. He has "just" nine homers this year, however, so fantasy owners certainly wouldn't mind a little more power output. Still, it's impossible to complain with the results thus far.

Taylor Clarke received a no-decision on Saturday versus the Nationals, giving up three runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Fantasy Impact: Clarke struck out six and didn't walk anyone as Arizona went on to win 10-3. The 26-year-old now has a 5.34 ERA on the year and isn't a particularly exciting fantasy option. That being said, if there's ever a time to stream him it'll be versus San Francisco next time out.

Category: Game Recaps

Robbie Ray fell to 5-4 on Friday versus the Nationals, giving up five runs on five hits in six innings of work.

Fantasy Impact: Ray struck out five and walked one in the outing, which the Diamondbacks went on to lose 7-3. The lefty has overall been productive this season, and he'll carry a 3.83 ERA into his next start versus the Rockies.

D'Backs manager Torey Lovullo says Jake Lamb (quad) should return by the end of the month. (Source: Zach Buchanan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Lamb entered the season as the team's starting first baseman before suffering a Grade 2 quad strain in early-April. It remains to be seen how the Diamondbacks will find time for him, Christian Walker, and Kevin Cron once Lamb is healthy.

Nick Ahmed doubles on Thursday

Fri, Jun 14th 12:19am EDT
By Brendan Tuma

Nick Ahmed went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored on Thursday as the Diamondbacks beat the Nationals 5-0.

Fantasy Impact: Ahmed is a useful real life player but isn't anything special for fantasy purposes. He's batting .267 this season to go along with four homers, four steals, and a .725 OPS.

Zack Greinke improved to 8-2 on Thursday in Washington, tossing 7 1/3 shutout innings while allowing just two hits.

Fantasy Impact: Greinke struck out three and didn't walk anyone as the D'Backs went on to win 5-0. The former Cy Young award winner took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before it was broken up by Trea Turner on an infield single. Greinke has been phenomenal this year, and he'll carry a 2.65 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP into a home start versus Colorado next time out.

Kelly (7-6) shut out the Phillies on Wednesday night, scattering three hits over 7.2 innings while striking out five.

Fantasy Impact: This was Kelly's third straight dominant performance. In all three of those starts, he lasted at least seven innings, and gave up one run or fewer. He'll take his 3.73 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 63:25 K:BB ratio over 82 innings into his next start, scheduled to be against the Rockies at home on Tuesday.

Category: Game Recaps

Holland pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out one to lock down his 10th save of the season in a 2-0 win against the Phillies on Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact: This was a nice bounce-back for Holland, who surrendered two runs on two solo home runs in Monday's series opener. Wednesday's was Holland's first save since May 26th, but the veteran reliever continues to put up solid numbers. He now boasts a 1.99 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 29:10 K:BB ratio in 22.2 innings this season. He's also 9 for 10 in save chances.

The Diamondbacks have placed Jon Duplantier on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. Stefan Crichton has been recalled from Triple-A Reno. (Source: Nick Piecoro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Duplantier was coming off a rough start in his last outing, and it's likely that the shoulder inflammation was to blame. It's unclear who will start for the Diamondbacks against the Nationals this weekend, as Crichton is a reliever. But regardless, owners who picked up Duplantier for his two-start week are out of luck.

Carson Kelly went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two RBI as the Diamondbacks fell to the Phillies 7-4 on Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Kelly now has five RBI over his last three games, which gives him 20 on the year. He's also hitting .264 with an .858 OPS and seven homers. Fantasy players could do much worse at catcher in deeper leagues.

Category: Game Recaps

Ildemaro Vargas went 2-for-5 with two homers and three RBI as the Diamondbacks beat the Phillies 13-8 on Monday night.

Fantasy Impact: It was an impressive night for Vargas, who now has four homers on the year. The 27-year-old isn't a particularly exciting fantasy option, however, and his playing time could be in jeopardy once Jake Lamb comes off the injured list.

Category: Game Recaps

Kevin Cron went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in the D'Backs' 6-0 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: It was the second straight game with a homer for Cron. He needs to be guaranteed more playing time to be fantasy relevant in 12-team leagues, but he has posted an OPS over 1.000 in 13 games with the D'Backs this season. He's a name to monitor.

Category: Game Recaps

The Diamondbacks placed Blake Swihart (oblique) on the 10-day IL on Saturday. (Source: Arizona Diamondbacks on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It's unclear how long he will be sidelined for. Swihart hasn't been a fantasy option this season.

Category: Injury Updates

Luke Weaver (forearm) has been diagnosed with a mild flexor pronator strain and a mild UCL sprain. (Source:

Fantasy Impact: Weaver wont require surgery for now and will instead opt for rest and rehab. The Diamondbacks want to play things safe with him and aren't putting a timetable on his return. He'll return to pitch this season in a best case scenario, but that can't be taken for granted.
