Fantasy Impact: Escobar finished the night 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. He now has 35 homers and 114 RBI this season. The 30-year-old third baseman has proven to be a tremendous draft day value this year.

Fantasy Impact: Bradley has been phenomenal in the second half this season, lowering his ERA to 3.80 with this outing. He has been serving as Arizona's locked-in closer recently and will likely enter 2020 as the team's top ninth-inning option.

Merrill Kelly improved to 11-14 on Saturday versus the Reds, tossing seven scoreless innings while striking out five.

Fantasy Impact: Kelly allowed three hits and two walks in the outing, which Arizona won 1-0. The right-hander has now given up just three runs over his last 20 innings pitched. That type of run puts him on the streaming radar for his next start versus the Padres.

Fantasy Impact: Marte continues to finish the season strong, batting .327 with a .983 OPS, 32 homers, and 10 steals. It is no secret that he's going to be a very early draft pick come 2020.

Mike Leake was effective again on Friday versus the Reds, giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits over six innings pitched.

Fantasy Impact: Leake struck out five and walked one as the D'Backs went on to lose 4-3. The oft-dismissed right-hander has now thrown three quality starts in his last four tries. lowering his ERA to 4.59 on the season. However, it remains difficult to get excited about Leake for fantasy purposes as he is no stranger to blowup games here and there.

Christian Walker went 0-for-3 with a walk as the D'Backs fell to the Mets 11-1 on Thursday afternoon.

Fantasy Impact: Walker now has just one hit in his last 17 at-bats. He has been a streaky hitter at times this year but all his best moments came earlier this season. Overall the first baseman is batting .257 with an .806 OPS.

Alex Young took the loss on Thursday against the Mets, giving up six runs (but just one earned) on five hits over 2 2/3 innings pitched.

Fantasy Impact: The lefty allowed two homers, struck out three, and walked two. A Nick Ahmed error basically saved his ERA but Young has now allowed three earned runs or less in five straight starts. He'll carry a 3.38 ERA into a matchup with the Marlins next time out.

Zac Gallen took the loss on Tuesday against the Mets despite throwing a quality start, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings pitched.

Fantasy Impact: Gallen struck out nine and walked two in the outing, which Arizona went on to lose 3-2. The 24-year-old has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any start at the big league level this season. The fantastic rookie will carry a 2.66 ERA into his next start versus the Reds.

Fantasy Impact: If this goes well the next step for Weaver would likely be pitching in a sim game, or even in a post-season game for one of Arizona's minor league teams. The D'Backs are hopeful he will pitch again this season, but he's very unlikely to have any fantasy value this year.

Fantasy Impact: Jones got off to a hot start this season but has been fading ever since. Overall he's batting .268 with 15 homers and a .749 OPS. Jarrod Dyson is in right field today with Josh Rojas playing left field.

Carson Kelly went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Arizona's 7-5 win over the Reds on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Kelly was on fire for most of the summer before cooling down a bit in August. Still, it's been a great first year in Arizona for the young catcher. Overall he's batting .260 with 18 homers and an .890 OPS.

Fantasy Impact: Unfortunately Dyson wasn't able to contribute much to Arizona's offensive explosion. However, he is really only useful for fantasy when it comes to stolen bases. Dyson has 28 of those here in early-September.

Josh Rojas went 4-for-5 with a homer, a double, two RBI, and three runs scored in the D'Backs' 14-7 win over the Padres on Monday.

Fantasy Impact: The homer was his second in 17 games with the D'Backs. Rojas had gotten off to a slow start with Arizona but is now riding a five-game hitting streak. Still, he won't have much fantasy value unless he sustains this production for a bit longer.

Fantasy Impact: Peralta landed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with shoulder inflammation, and it’s been determined he will need surgery to recover. He will be shut down for the rest of the season. It’s unclear at this time if he will be ready for spring training.

Fantasy Impact: Hirano gave up a long ball Friday; it was his second straight outing allowing a homer after he allowed a total of three home runs in his first 53 appearances of the season. His elbow issue is likely the cause of his recent struggles. Hirano will be eligible to return from the IL August 27th.
