Hyeon-jong Yang made his first start of the season on Wednesday against the Twins. He went 3.1 innings, allowing one run (a home run) on four hits. Perhaps most brilliant of all, eight of the 10 batters he retired came via the strikeout.
Yang owns a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and .227 OBA through three games (one start) totaling 12 innings. He's walked just two batters and struck out 13. The 33-year-old southpaw is in his debut season and hasn't seen enough action to be fantasy relevant. Still, he is showing that he can be a reliable core member of the Texas bullpen.
