Josh Sborz throws scoreless ninth inning

by Andersen Pickard | Rangers Correspondent | Sat, May 8th 7:35am EDT

Rangers reliever Josh Sborz helped keep Texas in the game on Friday by allowing just one hit in the ninth inning. He also struck out a batter.

Fantasy Impact:

Sborz entered into a 5-4 deficit and exited with the same score. He did his job well, coming in and restricting the Mariners from building on their lead. However, the Rangers were unable to come back and bridge the gap in the bottom half of the inning. Sborz himself now owns a 4.15 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and .191 OBA through 13 games and as many innings this season. He's also walked four batters and struck out 14.
