Trevor Cahill (1-5) was removed from Wednesday's start against the Cardinals with left calf discomfort. Before exiting, Cahill allowed four runs on two hits and two walks in one inning. He struck out two in the loss. (Jason Mackey on Twitter)
Thee 33-year-old loaded the bases in the second inning before leaving the game with an athletic trainer. He seems to have avoided a serious injury, though it's uncertain whether he'll be able to make his next start. Cahill owns a 6.81 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 35.2 innings, striking out 29 batters in those frames.
