Stefan Crichton surrenders a walk-off home run in loss

by Jon Mathisen | Sun, May 23rd 11:09pm EDT

RHP Stefan Crichton took the loss on Sunday when he allowed a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in the D-Backs 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

The Diamondbacks ended up having a bullpen game as starter Taylor Widener exited early with groin discomfort. The D-Backs pen held their own against the Rockies and lasted all the way until the ninth inning with the game tied at 3-3. Crichton came in to preserve the score and promptly served up a walk-off homer to Trevor Story to end the game. It was the 29-year-old's third loss of the season. He now owns a 6.23 ERA over 13 innings on the year but is a perfect 4-for-4 on save chances.
