RHP Matt Peacock took the loss on Wednesday by allowing three runs on three hits with three walks and a strikeout over just 1 2/3 of an inning. He exited in the second inning after mishandling a comebacker off his right hand. (Nick Piecoro on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Peacock attempted to barehand a hard, chopping comebacker off the bat of Jed Lowrie with two outs remaining in the second inning before exiting the contest early. He nearly got out of the inning the at-bat before when Mark Canha crushed a two-run triple, which was caught and subsequently dropped by Ketel Marte after he slammed into the wall. It was bad luck for Peacock but there was a bit of good news as the X-rays he received after leaving the game turned up negative. He's just dealing with some numbness in his finger and should be fine for his next turn in the rotation.
