Stefan Crichton coughs up a pair of runs on Monday
by Jon Mathisen | Tue, Jun 15th 1:23am EDT
RHP Stefan Crichton surrendered two runs on three hits over 1/3 of an inning in the Diamondbacks 5-2 loss to the Giants on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Crichton entered in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Diamondbacks trailing by one run and was tasked with keeping that margin the same. He did not do his job as he allowed back-to-back singles to Steven Duggar and Austin Slater before Mike Yastrzemski smacked a ground-rule double. The Giants padded their lead with a few extra runs, putting the game out of reach for Arizona. Crichton now own an ugly 5.57 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, and 15:9 K/BB ratio over 21 innings this season. He is 4-for-4 on save opportunities and appears to still be the D-Backs closer but his last save chance came all the way back on May 10.
